Quality and warmth
The media could not be loaded. Got these by accident but I am so happy I gave them ago. These are great knee high socks for me. Thick and comfy I can wear with my trainers and my boots. Loved them so much I actually ordered more!

Warm Robust and Comfortable
Warm and really comfortable these socks represent great value . They do shrink if tumble dried but they will stretch back to original fit.

I have never ever bothered to leave a positive review for anything. These socks deserve it. You get what you pay for. Warm, thick and tight fit. Perfect for boots and wellies. You will not be disapointed.

Very tight on your calves
These socks claim to be breathable with temperature control, but they leave your legs and feet on fire with heat and they are super tight around your calves. I am not a large female so I don’t know how a man would be comfortable in these socks. (See photos for the marks they left on my legs)I’m sure the heat would be advantageous in winter but merino wool based socks are usually good to wear in warmer weather too - not these socks though. These socks have a terry towelling type inner surface, which I was trying to avoid as I am autistic and can’t bear certain textures and also my having peripheral neuropathy in one of my feet only makes this worse.I personally wouldn’t recommend these socks for anything other than winter walking and if you have very thin calves! They are not particularly comfortable at all.

First impressions: good! Second impressions better!
I'm getting serious about socks, and here are my requirements:1. Good wicking ability. My toenails can get a bit of fungus if I'm wearing shoes too long. Getting the moisture away from my feet is important. Cotton is absolutely the worst for that, while wool, acrylic and bamboo are best (in that order).2. Durability. Even just walking about in the house with maybe slippers on in the winter can mean some bad socks get holes within just a few months. I need better.3. Comfort. I'm a man. I wear socks. I don't care about comfort when I'm in a combat situation. But since I'm never in combat situations here in Finchley, I can take comfort as number three. But reluctantly. Because I am a man. These socks bode well against the above criteria, being 50% wool with none of that cotton rubbish. 30% nylon though, so I'm preparing for some leccy shocks perhaps. But so far, so good.We shall see....EDIT - several months later: These are indeed excellent socks. No holes! Warm! Ready for anything. Just bought more.
