Glass -The material is sturdy and easy to clean. The bottom has a nice texture which when placed on a surface seems to prevent it from sliding. The clear glass also assists with seeing what’s inside and no more guessing with the darker or completely embossed containers.Lid -Just a tad on the flimsy side but still very easy and secure to open and close the glass container with. The benefit it the small protrusion on the top which is perfect to grasp on to that allows you to open and close with ease.

So the jar is rather sturdy, the lid however is not. The lid is very thin metal and flexes anytime you remove it or put the lid on the jar. The lid should be a bit sturdier than it actually is for this type of product. The size is sufficient to hold quite a bit in the jar. I would highly recommend this jar to anyone who is looking for something like this however I would encourage the sellers/manufacturer to upgrade the lid to something a bit more sturdier.So an update to my review above: I have noticed that the handle on the lid constantly gets loose and I'm having to tighten it quite frequently. The handle or whatever you want to call it is a screw with a nut, so anytime you pull the handle you're ever so slightly causing the handle to loosen up thereby causing you to eventually tighten the handle lest it fall apart.

This is a nice quality glass jar. The glass is thick and sturdy. The finish is clear and no rough seams or blemishes in the glass. The lid is thin metal but has a plastic seal ring on the inside that keeps the lid on securely and maintains a seal. The lid fits great and goes on and off easily. The jar sits level on a counter (no wobbles).This can be used for WAY more than laundry pods. It has a great look for kitchens, laundry rooms and office desks.Currently, I am using this as a candy jar on my desk at work. The opening is wide enough for a scoop to go in and out. The lid goes on and off easily (so people aren't fussing with it).The jar was packaged securely in a box with foam, so it arrived without any damage.***Wash carefully when you receive it.*** There was a small shard of loose glass in the bottom of mine when I received it. I inspected the jar very carefully and there is NO DAMAGE to any parts of the jar. So the glass likely came from the manufacturing process. I had the same thing happen recently with a vase from ikea, so it happens. Not too worried about it, as the jar is working and looking great now.I am very happy with this glass jar.

I'm using this jar to store my coffee beans. It came packaged well and quickly. The glass jar itself is a very good quality and doesn't feel like it would break easy. I think you could use this jar for a lot of different things which is pretty cool! It definitely makes storage and grinding coffee a lot easier.I am not a big fan of the lid, it feels really light and cheap but I guess it does the job it needs to. You definitely cannot put any weight on the lid, meaning it opens super easy which gives it a good convenience factor - but does make me feel a bit nervous about the longevity of the air seal.
