This is another one of those things I didn't know existed until Amazon noted, "You might like...." All my trips in the last five years had been by car and I had forgotten just how dirty and damaged luggage gets when you fly. I had just bought a new suitcase after the zipper broke on my old one, and thought a luggage cover was a great idea! The ones I bought (Size L for 25-28 inch luggage) did their job. They got dusty and dirt-smeared by six baggage handling locations from departure, connection, arrival, and then the repeat trip home. Because of their bright colors, our suitcases were easily recognizable from a distance on the baggage claim conveyor belt. If you put it on properly, the extendable handle on top of your suitcase is not covered and your side handle can be accessed by opening a zipper. (Please note in the pics that Hubs didn't put that one on straight, so the side handle isn't visible.)Once I got home and got them off, I rezipped all the zippers, turned the covers inside out, and washed them in cold water in the washer on the handwash cycle, according to the instructions on the attached tag, and then hung them inside to dry. The dust came off, but the nasty black streaks didn't (as you can see in one of my pics). But that's okay with me because they did their job and protected the fabric of our suitcases from bearing those black streaks. I love this! Makes me smile to look at it. But a few issues for me specifically. I'm sure it's due to shape or whatever of my hard top luggage. The bottom part where it zips was big and loose. So I folded over the zipper part onto itself and saftey pinned the two edges so it wouldn't hang (loose enough it dragged the ground on the bottom side). The slit/hole on the top of the cover didn't line up well with the retractable handle, and there was no hole for close to the fixed handle on the top side. I wished the fabric that goes around the wheels were elastic cinching (like a fitted bed sheet). The fabric is just bunched up and touches the wheels, therefore, rubbed non-stop; much less filthy afterwards!

The only reason I didn’t give all stars because it came with a hole in it and the plastic clip on the straps broke easily. Other than that this survived 12 flights in the month that I had it. It has saved my bag from a lot of wear and tear and being scuffed. It was definitely worth the investment. Also the fabric is thick and stretchy and it’s very easy to spot. My bag was stuffed to the MAX and even though it was a struggle getting the cover on it stayed in place throughout my month long travels! And the hole didn’t cause an issue or get bigger.

Strong & durable zipper plus I love the extra snap closure. Only caveat is the holes on the side for the handle to come out does not line up well.

Great quality, durability was good. Purchased another style first use and had a hole in it. This brand was much thicker…washed them, washed well…ready for my next trip! 💙

I like to have a very well made and sturdy suitcase. I check a bag whenever I have to travel more than 3 days. What I hate, is how dirty and torn up they get. This cover has been on 20 flights and is still holding up. I get asked all the time about it. My new suitcase still looks new. I highly recommend!

Protected my suitcase but had holes in it the first time I used it on a flight. Hard to prove that the airline had done it but it protected my suitcase. Very heavy and stretchy material.

The openings in the fabric do not line up with the hardshell luggage handles. My hardshell luggage is the standard hardshell suitcase.
