I liked the PB because it worked well and the colours are brilliant.

Very small for expensive price but kept them as being so close to xmas

The media could not be loaded.  I've always been fascinated by these and wanted one of my own. So I was delighted to come across this, and at a good price too I would think.The plastic base is a bit cheap and would benefit from being made of something a bit more substantial, give it a weightier feel, and a better texture maybe but otherwise seems well enough made.The lighting effect is great, either as a nice subtle background effect, or just something to play with. Not sure whether the music interactive mode is useful or not for some, not really for me but it doesn't hurt to add in these little extras.I love it and love seeing it out of the corner of my eye in the evening with the lights dimmed.

These are fascinating, no matter how old you are! The whole family have played with this and it works just like the ones in the science museum. There is a charger cable provided and an on off switch, although the on off switch was a bit finicky. You have to turn it to the middle to have it on rather than switch it all the way to the other side as the off side. Apart from that, this is fab and a great little gadget to get kids interested in science, it opened up a lot of questions from my 9 year old!

It came well-packed and of good quality.I found it very easy to use and it looks really nice.The colour of the rays are more of a pink colour than red.It has 2 modes, one which sends rays of light when you touch it and the other responds to sound.I love the effect it makes when I put on my music.It is very lightweight so I would advise putting it somewhere that it can't get knocked over easily.I absolutely love this and I think it would make a lovely gift.Recommend.

The media could not be loaded.  I remember these things from when I was a child and now that I have children of my own I was excited to introduce them to it.It comes in a box so which will make for a good present. Inside is the unit itself along with a power plug. Ready to go straight away and when I turned it on it looked just as vibrant and cool as the pictures in the description suggested.I hope you can see from my video that it reacts really well to the touch and the bigger surface area you make contact with produces a more pronounced and targeted effect.It didn't react so well to music but after reading properly it needs to be above 80db which I'm not sure my neighbours would appreciate but that's not what I wanted to use it for anyway.It makes an interesting home learning activity for the children on a rainy day and would be a great interactive learning experience for home education.Really happy and would recommend for anyone with children or for a nostalgic bit of fun.

A well made plasma ball, perfect for entertaining the kids and experimenting.

This arrives in a full colour printed box measuring approx 15cm x 15cm x 20.5cm.It would be easy to wrap & make an interesting gift for a teen or older (although smaller children love these too).Inside the box, the globe is packed with cardboard supports & wrapped in bubblewrap so it stays safe before it's unpacked.It comes with a detachable power lead which has a 3 pin plug so needs to be near a socket to use.It is very low power, using only 8w & comes with no instruction leaflet, so read the side of the box before you get rid of it.If you also look at image 3 of the product images, it shows you the on/off switch, will also has the middle setting for touch responses, or the right hand setting for audio - will only respond to sounds louder than 80 decibels so be prepared to make a bit of noise.This item should be kept at least 50-80cm away from audio visual equipment, tablets, laptops, phones or computers to prevent interference.It's very intuitive to use but please don't leave it around younger children without supervision.The ball can get hot so a drop of water falling on it could cause it to shatter - keep drinks away & don't play with this in wet areas.These are one of those gadgets that everybody who sees just has to have a go.They then tend to sit on a shelf for ages being ignored once the novelty has worn off, before being remembered & pulled out again.Also look interesting as an ornament in a teen room.
