The size is just perfect in my family room. Love, love it! It is beautiful to look at on my wall. It is well made and have a nice weight to it...not very heavy. My wall is white and it look really nice. My only complain about this is that it is a bit hard to tell the time because of the color and when the hands hit the level of the cross iron in the middle of the clock. Sometimes I have to look hard for a few seconds to tell the time. My husband did not even know that it's a clock when he came home not until I told him so. :) I am keeping it because it is truly nice on the wall. The color is a bit darker than the picture. Probably it will take time to a get use to it, I mean reading the time. I was thinking to paint the roman numbers or the hands or perhaps the cross metal in the middle with some bright colors. Oh well, we'll see in the future. Oh yeah, one last thing, This clock is made in CHINA. It would be a whole lot better if it is made here at home. Oh well, I hope it will last me for a long, long time. I don't spend this much money on clock before. This clock use one double AA battery. That's it. I hope this help you guys. This clock is well made and absolutely gorgeous. I was looking at a similar one at less than half the price, but I decided this one would be a better investment, after 20+ years enjoying my Howard Miller grandfather clock. Good call. This clock is better designed, easier to read, and better made than the less expensive brands. It's made in China, but you can tell there's quality control here. Runs on one AA battery. No instructions came with the clock. That's my only complaint. I had to fiddle with it, until discovering the battery cover just pulls off. There's a dial you turn in the battery compartment to set the time. Don't turn the clock hands! Use the dial by the battery. Hope to get years of enjoyment from this.

I purchased this clock as used "acceptable" from Amazon warehouse. This clock is all metal except for the movement. I was expecting paint scratches or even bent metal. But the clock is cosmetically perfect. It is described as used and as soon as I saw a battery still installed, I knew what the problem is. I tried different batteries but the movement is defective and it will not move. I called Amazon and they connected me with Howard Miller I tried to get a new movement on warranty but just got phone transfers in circles. I then went to Howard Miller parts website, found the movement and ordered it. ($6.30 + $4.95 shipping = $11.25). I am undecided about the hassle of getting refunded 11.25 from Howard Miller. I swapped the original movement for the new one and it works fine. The price was half off and after another 11.25 I am still ahead.This clock is all metal and robust but the movement is not (Made in china). You are paying for the clock body and design, not for the movement. I have another Howard Miller wall clock about 10 years old and the movement in it is made in Germany. I still like the clock and I am accepting that a $159 clock has a $6.30 china movement.

Does nt keep time at all. I have had it one day, fresh battery. Set the time three times in one day, woke up this morning hoping the time would he accurate. No. sending it back. Lovely clock but will not keep accurate time. Howard Miller clock that cannot not keep accurate time is ridiculous!

I ordered the clock for my kitchen wall. I received it within the stated time frame. It was packed very well so nothing was damaged. It was easy to hang on the wall and it looks well made. I received many compliments on this clock. It's a nice size - big but not overwhelming and it looks stylish and updated. It gives the room a fresh new look. I think it's worth the price!

If you are looking for a rustic, metal clock, this would fit the bill. However, mine went into my bathroom which is an interesting combination of oil rubbed bronze, rustic bronze metal, black and Lots of mirror. It is fantastic. It whispers, is very easy to read, fairly lightweight and SUPER easy to hang. It was packed well for shipping and shipped very quickly. It is a nice, sturdy, well made clock and I love it.

When the room is a little dark, you hardly can read the clock, because everything has the same color.

Very good looking clock, am pleased with the puchase. It seems to be keeping time a bit slow, but I will see if another battery will resolve. Would buy again
