Love it
My daughter loves this. She has made so many different stamps with this kit. Really cool.

Biggest eraser you'll ever find
I was new to linoprint when I bought this but it did well . I made a few stamps . I did not know it was a big eraser but I bought 2 so it performed well . Easy to carve .

My go to for printmaking!
These speedycarve blocks are my favorites for printmaking. They are super easy to carve and you have a lot more control that linoleum or wood. They also print amazing onto fabric or paper, just be mindful that since they are soft the harder you press the more likely the image will bleed.

Box open and missing instructions
The lower review isn't necessarily the fault of the company. My box arrived from Amazon looking as though it had been opened and the instructions were missing. All important pieces were included, but it has been difficult trying to find the instructions anywhere online. The kit itself seems nice. I haven't used it yet as I am not quite sure how to begin.

These are so easy to use~!
I wanted to make a little stamp with my business's logo for cheap. (It was an idea I was testing out and while I thought about getting a professional stamp made, I didn't want to spend the money if I ended up not liking the stamp idea.)Anyway, I printed out my logo and traced it on the little paper included in this product using a pencil I had around the house. Then I transferred it to the pink stamp material by rubbing the pencil markings gently. When it was fully transferred, I set the tracing paper aside and put the sharp blade into the wooden handle and set to work carving the pink material away from my design.I was able to get closer where needed by using the V shaped blade and switched the two out rather easily. I had enough material left over that I made two stamps with the same logo and still had extra pink material for a smaller project if I ever think of one. This little stamp is pretty great and now I have two logo stamps that are just what I was looking for at a very affordable price. I cut away the extra pink around the edges and didn't bother affixing the stamp to a wooden piece of anything, I just take it directly by hand, dip it in the ink tray and then to the envelopes and it works perfectly!I love it. This worked out better than I hoped!

Great for a small project
I really didn’t need much rubber at all- I wanted four different 2cmx2cm stamps, and I only used maybe a fifth of the rubber. As a total beginner, I found the kit easy to use. I wish there was a tool setting that allowed for a thinner cut, but it was very easy to make do. (I used an exacto knife for really tiny details.) If you’re wanting stamps for a small project, but don’t want to break the bank on something that you’ve never tried before, this is a great place to start

My #1 carving block
I have been be carving for 7 years consistently. This is my favorite block, and I have tried "the grey stuff", Staedtler Mars blocks (Moo), etc. I carve with both blades and gouges, so I feel it works really well with both. It gives me very clean lines and hold detail well. I recommend pairing it with Versa-Fine ink if you would REALLY like the details pop.The was a time period around 2012 where this block ("the pink stuff") was not as good quality as it had been before. The surfaces had microscopic bubbles (you can see then if looking at the edge of the block) that would make lines jagged when cut. This did effect work, but to be honest, I preferred it still over any other option. However, if you get one of these batches, I recommend letting the seller know. However, I have not found myself getting any from this batch in a few years from Amazon, so you should be all set, but it is good to be aware.

Sooo therapeutic!
CONTEXTWe wanted to get some shirts and dresses printed for our wedding, but when we got the quote from our local printers, it was insane and not worth it. I had already planned to do block printing on some shirts we purchased and had a little bit of practice, so I figured this would be the perfect time to do it.PROS- Very smooth and easy AF to carve.- This is large! One block of this can make a nice, large print on a dress or shirt.CONS- It is quite flimsy, so you'll have to be careful when actually block printing... especially if you make a large print like I did.OVERALLI love Speedball carving blocks! They are very easy to use, even for first-timers.

Useful but pricey
Speedycarve is a good medium for making printing stamps and smaller items. Easy to use but expensive so I won't buy much of it.

Amazing kit! Everything you need to get started!
Wow! This kit is awesome! I tried it out for the first time today. As usual I only skim-read the instructions as I was impatient to get started and I went for quite an ambitious design for a first go - I was pretty sure I was going to mess it up! It ended up looking GREAT! The limo block is super soft and so easy to cut and the carving tool is really easy to use. The kit comes with everything you need to begin carving straight away (though you'll need to get some ink - I just used a black ink pad I had already), a block of soft Lino, a carving tool with 2 interchangeable blades, a sheet of tracing paper and an instructions pamphlet. I chose to handraw my design onto a sheet of paper, trace it and then transfer it to the Lino but you can use images printed off the Internet or just draw your design straight onto the Lino if you're confident. Then you just get to carving! Any of the Lino you 'take away' will be white space in the finished print and any Lino left will be the inked space. Can't wait to have a go at my second design!*update* tried a second design and I love this stuff more and more!!! So pleased with how it turned out for only my second go! I've attached some photos - the black is attempt number 1 and the blue is attempt number 2.

Great stuff!
I love this stuff - easy to carve, prints well, easy to clean, but best of all I can transfer a drawing onto it just by placing it pencil side down on the block and rubbing the back. And it's thick enough to be able to use both sides which makes it really economical. Delivery was faster than I expected since it has to ship from the US.
