Deliver to Greece

One of the most talked-about movies of the year is also one of the funniest! In this hilarious comic fantasy from writer/director Kevin Smith (Clerks, Chasing Amy) two banished angels (Ben Affleck and Matt Damon) find a loophole that would get them back into Heaven. The only snag? They'll be destroying existence in the process. In an effort to stop them, The overworked Voice of God (Alan Rickman)taps cynical mortal Bethany (Linda Fiorentino) to save the world by preventing the angels from reaching their unholy destination: New Jersey! Throw in two unlikely prophets named Jay and Silent Bob (Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith), the quick-witted yet little-known thirteenth apostle (Chris Rock) and a sexy, former muse with a case of writer's block (Selma Hayek) and you've got an hysterical and thrilling race against time packed with an all-star cast.

Enjoy!
The movie gets a 5. The pricing and rarity get a 2; I don't know the ins-and-outs of Hollywood, but it seems as if this movie didn't get a 'reprint'. If you prefer the movie at a lower quality and 1/3 the price, check out the DVDs.I am a picture and sound snob and prefer this movie upgraded to Blu-Ray, and I ponied up the 3xDVD price for it. The movie is a comedic masterpiece and if you disagree I can only fathom that your disdain comes from theologic origin or biblical ignorance. The snarkiness is amazing and the casting is paramount. The writing could only have come from a former Christian confined to a dimly lit room with a heavily annotated NIV bible and a healthy disdain for hypocrisy.

Dogma should be released for people that want to rent and see it
I am a religous and very spiritual person; I also love life andlove to laugh at myself and situations in life. I think humor is very importamt in being healthy. I absoultly loved this movie1 I think it was well done, even though it has dark humor, it also gives a good message in the end. I wondered why I could find it to rent to watch. Now i know.really Harvy Weinstein and his brother bought the rights and will not let anyone see it for ethical and prinicapled values. Really? Harvy Winstein, the womanizing molester? People neeed to see life and people for what things really are.Kevin smith is a brilliant, articulate, educated man who made some great films. People protest them because they are too uptight to want to know things do exhist in other's everday lives that they do not approve of. You dont have to live that life, but you can laugh when things are silly and funny, and maybe sometimes get a good message in the end

Excellent Condition, Amazing Movie
I LOVE this movie. It is one of my favorites, Alan Rickman was one of my favorite actors. I originally bought this movie when it first released on DVD and a classmate of my in college wanted to borrow it. Well she got all offended and disposed of my movie which really really ticked me off. So for the last 10 years I've been stalking Dogma online and finally decided to pull the trigger for my birthday this year. It was as good as I remembered it to be! It's now back in it's place of honor among my Alan Rickman Collection and it will NEVER be loaned out again. I'm glad it was a new copy, or at least was packaged to be new. The movie was in pristine condition, played beautifully in my PS4. I can't say how happy I was to sit there and watch this movie that I love so dearly once more.Dang it now I want to watch Galaxy Quest. =) I recommend the seller and the movie and most of all ALAN RICKMAN!

Other than an inflated price, a perfect purchase experience
SHIPPING - 5/5 - I purchased this from AnneFrankFanAttic, and the given delivery was 3/2 - 3/19. I got it on 2/26.PRODUCT - 5/5 - it was listed as “Used - Like New”, and both the case and disc looked like I just unwrapped the cellophane myself. I just watched the entire movie, and it played perfectly.BLURAY version - 5/5 - I’ve seen some mediocre bluray transfers, but this isn’t one. The movie shines in all its 2.40:1, 1080p, Dolby TrueHD glory, and comparing the picture to my 1.33:1 (fullscreen) dvd is truly night and day.PRICE - 3/5 - I realize it's out of print and rare, so this didn't impact my overall rating.Since this movie is not available for purchase on any streaming platform and probably will never be, I decided to spend more than I ever have for a single bluray to upgrade my much viewed dvd copy. I couldn’t be more happy with the purchase, and who I got it from.As for the movie, most either love or hate it, and if your reading this I’m guessing you are in the “love it” camp or are buying for someone else who does. If so and you can get it for a fairly reasonable price, I highly recommend the purchase.

classic View Askew
'Dogma' was set to be the sequel to 'Clerks', as long-time Kevin Smith fans know, and works perfectly in that role. This is a great movie with a terrific cast led by Linda Fiorentino, with Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Chris Rock, George Carlin, Jason Lee, Salma Hayek, and (of course) Jason Mewes & Kevin Smith joining the fun. It's key to read the disclaimer at the beginning carefully and to watch all the way to the actual end, reading the final end credits. I probably should cut at least half a star for the Golgothan, but eh... it is what it is, and the movie as a whole is entertaining and, ultimately, uplifting.

Had to get this movie! AGAIN!!
This is one my family's absolute "Thinking man's comedies!, but after my younger daughter graduated from college and moved to Silicon Valley, she couldn't find a copy for her own. They HAD it for her, but sadly it was stolen from my rural mailbox. I let the sellers know about the situation. They really went all out for me, next day delivery the replacement arived. Jennifer's happy, I'm happy, and even if the whole of humanity was almost undone, God (Alanis Morissette) fixes it. God can do anything she wants.

Sense of humor about the Bible is recommended.
Being educated in Christian beliefs, I find this movie amusing and entertaining. It is a fun portrayal of biblical figures that didn't get much representation before this movie came out. I enjoy watching this one as a counterpoint to the more serious "Constantine". I bought it because of a surprise character, but I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't see it yet. You haven't seen this yet? Well, see it now! It's great!

The video quality is not bad- not the best either. The special features/extras are extremely low-res
This is on the quality of the Bluray and not a commentary on the movie. I'm not sure what the producing company was thinking, but the sound quality is awful. I have 7.1 surround sound, and despite adjusting the settings, I found the movie volume inconsistent and frustrating (had to keep manually adjusting throughout the film). The video quality is not bad- not the best either. The special features/extras are extremely low-res, assuming based on the age of the original release of the movie. I purchased this version for my collection and to be able to view at any time since there are no digital versions on my current streaming services. I will say that it was shrink-wrapped as "new," but I found an old security sticker on it, so not sure what that means. The disc itself is in excellent condition. I love this movie enough that I can look beyond the flaws in the production company. I had no issues what so ever with purchasing.

Close your ears to the language!
I think this was the first film I watched with excessive bad language, but if you ignore it the film is a delight. One of the earliest outings with Matt Damon and Ben Affleck it tells the story of two disgruntled angels trying to get back to Heaven, and a descendant of Christ. Of course Alan Rickman steals the show without even trying, with his portrayal of Metatron. I have watched this film a few times now, and still find it funny, thoughtful and downright wacky.

Great fun, great cast with the genius Alan Rickman.
One of my favourite films. It's possibly a little off its time, but if you're a 70's or 80's child this will probably appeal. It's got a stellar cast, with a rather bemused Alan Rickman and George Carlin. There's even a odd, but brilliant Alanis Morriset cameo. The story is an hilarious, satirical look at religion and is very well paced.I love it

Avatara's review of "Dogma"
"Dogma" is the fourth film written and directed by Kevin Smith (also continuing to play the role of Silent Bob) and is a tongue in cheek look at the Catholic faith in modern times. There is a stellar cast that truly shine as an ensemble and who portray their characters with great ease and professionalism. The script is fantastically funny and thought provoking, posing questions about angels, demons, idols, muses, God, apostles, prochoice, Jesus and the Catholic Church. If you are open minded you will love this movie however if you are a practicing Catholic, you may find it blasphemous. I believe that "Dogma" puts religion perfectly in its place in a most humorous way whilst delivering a story that is very entertaining to say the least. This is my second favourite film from Kevin Smith and co and is still entertaining every time I watch it. If you have a slightly twisted sense of humour and love irony you will really love "Dogma".

Great for religious nuts.
Some of the effects in this have not aged well but it pissed off my overly religious relatives so it must be good.

Fantastic customer service
What a company, what great customer service. The original order was faulty and I requested a return, they contacted me directly and apologises for the fault amd sent out a new copy of the film which worked perfectly. Sometime Amazon can be a little faceless but this shows that there are people on the other side selling these products, great all round and can’t praise the company high enough. Fully recommend
