This electric awning opener/closer works great! Very easy to install. Definitely beats hand cranking the awning!

This motor gives a good jump if you hook it up to power before having it bolted down; very powerful! If things do ever go South, it has a small nut with a hole to use a turn bar to manually turn the gear slowly (but relatively easily; you get a lot of leverage not just from the turn bar but because it moves the main gear in tiny steps).

This motor appears to be quite heavy duty. Change out is actually quite simple also. For the cost of it if you do a lot of camping it would be a good idea to have an extra on hand, save being stranded with awning out or having to hand roll it back in. Simple electrical connection, plug and play.
