Q: Are there probiotics in this food?

Our Formulas for Life are Prebiotic Balanced Fiber diets which contain fiber that supports a favorable environment for natural live bacteria ( probiotics) already in the gastrointestinal tract. Probiotics are live cultures and adding to a product they would be diminished or even die while in the bag and offer no benefit

No. Their bag also states no ingredients from China.

Q: Within how many months does the food have to be consumed since the bag was opened ?

15 months from date of manufacturing date. Store food in an airtight container to avoid exposure to air.

Q: What temperature is the food cooked/baked at?

Similar to when you cook your turkey in the oven, a low temperature is used for slow cooking. We produce in small batches and cook slowly. Our extruders cook between 195 to 200 degrees Fahrenheit. When our nutritionists developed our kibble formulas, they take into account the nutrient values of the raw ingredients, and the slow cooking the ingredients. We take into account cooking temperatures, and storage conditions. This ensures that every kibble has the 42 essential nutrients your pet requires for a long healthy life.
