Used for both trash and storage
We have pretty good trash bags, but after a extended camp session we might have two to four trash bags to haul out. This bag is super big and carries at least two big trash bags in it, but if you work it right it can hold more. When not carrying trash we sometimes just stuff it with items that we are too tired to pack up immediately. We’ve stuffed three sleeping bags in there and two hammocks. We’ve also just thrown all the dirty pots and pans inside. It’s all around useful even if you don’t have a spare tire carrier

Extra Storage 94 YJ
I have not hit the offroad trails in years but jumped at the idea to use this Jeep backpack for extra storage. For years I have admired all the different types of steel racks that mount to the exterior for carrying extra cargo, but never pulled the trigger due to sounds issues or for difficulty lowering and raising the soft top. When I say sound issues I used to have a classic Kc overhead light bar and it whistled when driving over 45mph. Super Annoying. I digress. I also have a trailer hitch with a basket I use for transporting heavy/ dirty items like the lawnmower or mulch. I am using this back pack for dirty beach items. It is fairly easy to mount. It seems to work pretty well but I have to be careful with the weight. It does not have as many mounting straps I would prefer especially for higher speeds. It seems to be really made for trail crawling at slow speeds, not necessarily returning from the beach with sand toys, life vests and a cast net loaded up when the Jeep is full of passengers. That being said it definitely works but I am staying off the highway.

A decent bag which could be far greater if only for a few simple improvements.
Rainleaf Spare Tire Tools Holder BagThis is a decent bag for your travel needs. Fairly strong, and fairly roomy. It has several features to make it as weather resistant as possible. Should some rain make it in it has two large grommeted holes to prevent the bag from filling with liquid. These holes are approx. 1 inch in diameter, so keep that in mind if you are planning on placing anything small in the bag.I have had issues with some similar rubberized fabrics in the past which over time have the rubber lining become sticky. It will leave sticky residue on your skin and on anything it comes into contact with, and there seems no way of eliminating it. This lining seems similar, but so far it is working well. I will be certain to update the review should this lining become sticky. A few improvements would make this bag much better.1. The primary improvement I would recommend would be to the clasps / buckles. They are made of a fairly flexible plastic, which I fear it may break under a heavy load or the impacts of rough road conditions; these plastic parts are also certain to degrade in strength and stability when exposed to the elements … particularly to sunlight. If these buckles / clasps were made of a light weigh, high strength aluminum, or almost any metal, I think they would greatly increase confidence in the ability of the straps to retain the bag safely attached to your vehicle.2. A more minor improvement I would recommend would be elastic within the top portion of the outer webbed pockets, or a button down flap for them. I feel this could greatly add retention of items placed within these pockets.I would like to know the recommended weight limit for this bag. I feel this is fairly important information to have. I doubt anyone wants their bag ripping or breaking open then dispensing all it's contents all over the highway! I attempted to find a way to contact the seller for an answer, but I could not discover how to do so. Hopefully they will read this review and add that vital information to the description page.In it's current state... 3 stars.Explaining my rating system:5 - a superior product - I would recommend4 - above average – a great choice3 - average – what one might generally expect2 - below average – I would advise seeking an alternative1- Horrible – a waste of your valuable money - avoid if at all possible

Attention Grabbing - A fun add even if not super practical
Got this as a fun add-on for a vintage Jeep Wrangler. While not total practical, it's a fun add that grabs attention. Nice for if you have something you don't want inside the vehicle, use your imagination for that. We've used it for firewood and campfire starting materials which are nice to have within easy reach.

High Quality & BIG!
The Rainleaf Spare Tire Trash Bag seems to be very well made. It's like a really big dump pouch. I know it's listed as being "large capacity", I didn't realize just how big it was before I received it!The material feels very durable, but I don't know that I would leave this up year-round on your spare tire. I know a lot of people do, I just wouldn't to ensure that the bag lasts as long as possible. I like to keep my stuff nice. We're using this with our RV when boondocking... not hung on a spare tire, but on the ladder. It does good!

Bag holds a lot.
The bag holds more than it looks like it can. The material looks to be pvc coated nylon, or similar. We use it to hold our firewood. It can easily hold two bundles with room to spare. Great for anything I don't want to put inside the car. Anything dirty or wet can go into the bag instead of in the car.

A camping must!
I drive a Toyota tundra that doesn’t have a wheel on the back, but no biggie! I attached this bag to my tail gate and bam! Perfect! Helps keep out trash in one place during our camping/overlanding trips. It’s well made and easy to use. Not to mention, it looks better than the “expensive” ones! Highly recommend.

My husband commandeered it for his Jeep
My husband has one of these types of bags already for his Jeep, but he even said he cheaped out and bought a super basic option. Then he saw this one and decided my Jeep needed a bag too. He uses his mostly for Gambler 500 events for garbage that's been left in state forests, but he also randomly picks up trash in other nature areas too. This one went on my Jeep for about 5 minutes before he decided he wanted it for his Jeep instead (plus it covered the backup camera on mine, so it's really best for older-model Jeeps). He loves that this one has outside pockets and a molle system, so you can clips lots of stuff to the outside as well. It's super easy to install. Highly recommend for 2-door Jeeps that have limited room inside. It gives your Jeep a backpack!
