Refreshing green tea not too strong

I'm not familiar with this particular producer, so maybe this is what their hojicha is always like, but I don't think so. It had almost no aroma at all, and very insipid, stale flavour - nothing whatsoever like the more well-known Kyoto/Uji brands of hojicha. I wonder if this stock has been hanging around a while? Difficult to source from Kyoto at the moment, but was able to find an Japanese/American brand called Yamamotoyama which is much more like a traditional hojicha. I have submitted a 'return' as I don't know how else to request a refund!

What does "sheerness" mean in the review category? Anyway, this is a good standard Japanese tea that tastes good and refreshing.
