Put simply, this battery is the equal of the Nikon part in function, with the additional ability to charge directly from USB-C. This means you can charge one in the camera, another on the cable, and if you have a charger, a third there. Works great. Higher capacity than the older -B variety and I really appreciate the usb charging capability. No more worrying about forgetting the bulky charger. Even the bright orange color is an improvement, making it harder to misplace than the grey battery from Nikon.

The battery is compatible with my Z6III and works perfectly. Its performance matches that of the original Nikon battery but at a more affordable price. It also lasts just as long as the original.

I just received these. I can confirm they work on the Nikon Z6III with v1.02 firmware. The fact that you can charge them directly via a USB cable is a smart enhancement. I did not use them enough to judge whether they last a long time or not. I am removing 1 star because I ordered 2 and on one of them, the charging light never turned green. Smallrig support was only via the phone and neither the online manual nor the FAQ gave me a hint of what was wrong, except for the battery itself, so I had to return it and awaiting a replacement from Amazon.

I’ve been using the SmallRig EN-EL15c battery with my Nikon Z8 and Z6III, and it’s proven to be a dependable power source. The increased capacity of 2400mAh over the original 2280mAh provides a noticeable extension in shooting time, which is beneficial during long sessions.The built-in USB-C charging port is a standout feature. It allows for direct charging without the need for a separate charger, making it convenient when traveling or shooting on location. Charging the battery to full capacity takes approximately 2.5 hours, which is efficient for my workflow.

I love these - battery life is as good as the OEM Nikon but cheaper and so much more convenient. Uses the same cord as my phone; charges from the car or phone brick. No lugging around a special charger and cord, FTW. Will be buying more of these.

Arrived on time, does what it is suppose to do. Better than stock battery because you don’t need a separate charger.
