Must have if you have a little one
We have had 2 NICU babies and that in itself was hard. This angel care system gave us peace of mind once we brought them home. Setup was pretty simple. the buttons are very easy to read and use in the night. never a false reading and now I have 3 babies that have made it past the crib stage and we are no longer worrying about anything.Thank you Angel care

If you want to jump through hoops....
YOU HAVE TO JUMP THROUGH HOOPS TO GET THIS TO WORK - LOOK UP THE INSTRUCTION MANUAL AND READ THE SET UP DIRECTIONS BEFORE PURCHASINGMy husband and I decided it was not worth it.You have to turn off the pad before picking up baby and turn it on again after you place baby back. If you forget, the alarm goes off. In the middle of the night, when you’re sleep deprived, that’s not an easy thing to remember both before and after picking baby up.It also requires a board be placed under the breathing pad. There are also many requirements about where to put the circular unit. It can’t be near an air vent but must be far from the breathing pad and also a certain distance from the parent unit. There was not enough room in the nursery to make the pieces fit.Waste of money. We are returning for a video monitor.

Best monitor I've found
I absolutely love this monitor. I bought it to replace a tommy tippie one that broke and it works perfectly. I love the parent monitor. Its loud and it has a talk back mix built in. Definitely worth the money and it wireless to the crib!

Lovely little monitor
I have used older versions of this for my first child. I like the updates. Our unit does give a lot of false alarms but we haven't actually done any troubleshooting (there are instructions for that) I either deal with it or turn the motion detector off. All in all, I like this monitor, has what wanted from previous monitors, you can turn the tic(beeping) off, you can turn so many features off and on, just need to read the instructions.

Great but broke after 10 months
Loved this product and is great to use and accurate. Gave it a lesser rating because after about 10 months the parent monitor port where you plug in to charge it broke. Now we can no longer use because it doesnt charge anymore.

Versatile monitor for sound and movement. Easy to take on the road.
I bought this as a second monitor for my downstairs area that the baby naps. Super easy set up and so far very accurate no false alarms. Previously had the wired version love the versatility of the wireless!

Great idea, poor design
The cons outweighed the pros, so we sent the monitor back.Pros: looks like the photos, easy to setup, will alert by sound if no motion is detectedCons: even on the highest sensitivity the monitor would not detect our daughter in her crib, there is no easy way to turn the monitor off when taking baby out of the crib at night (makes a loud chime), wish the alert alarm only sounded on the parent unit (most of the time, baby was fine and still asleep but would wake up at the alarm sound on the baby unit)I would suggest getting a video/motion combo monitor. The ones with video do not have a chime noise when you have to pause or turn off the motion sensor.

Don't bother
I bought this monitor when I was pregnant with my first child. The motion detection seemed like a great feature, and the reviews seemed pretty good at the time. Nearly two years later, I can tell you do not bother with this monitor. The motion detection is either too sensitive, too insensitive, or just goes off randomly for no reason at all. We wound up removing the motion sensor pad and not using that feature at all due to the inconsistencies. When your baby is sleeping, the last thing you need to worry about is a random alarm going off. That being said, the majority of the time we used this monitor, it was solely as an audio-only monitor. And a rather expensive one at that. About a month ago, the charging port on the parent unit broke. The parent unit has rechargeable batteries that charge through a mini USB charger. I figured it broke due to my now toddler playing with it and dropping it. However, looking at some other reviews, it seems this is not all that uncommon. I called Angelcare and tried to troubleshoot the issue to get it fixed. My monitor was outside of the one-year warranty, so they directed me to the spare parts page of their web site. I ordered a new parent unit ($50 after shipping!!!), and guess what? It wouldn't pair with my nursery unit. Called and tried to get help troubleshooting that, and it was going to cost even more to get more replacement parts and have to pay return shipping for my defective parts. At that point, I decided to go with a different audio-only monitor, which I found on Amazon for $36. Hopefully this new monitor will get the job done. All in all, this monitor is overpriced, the motion feature is not worth the hassle and inconsistencies, and the customer service at Angelcare is subpar.

Peace of mind! Worth it!
Works well, menu is not that easy to use for everyone... Option are missing like disabling "beep" sound when you try to get baby to bed.I still recommend it, because of the angelcare system that gives you peace of mind and don't want the camera.Update : power button stop working after a simple fall from barely 2 feet high. Like many have said in reviews, durability is a problem for their parents unit and they should work on this.
