Gardeneer by Dalen Trellis Netting for Vertical Gardening – Heavy Duty Material – Tangle Free Nylon - 7" Mesh - 5' x 30'

Ok not a 5 star product because it said it was 5-Foot x 30-Foot when It is really is not quite 5' x 30' feet. I would say it is more like 4 feet x 25' which I would say is close enough for me and I deducted a point for that simple reason. Otherwise. Great product, no complaints and I like the no tangle nylon net. I like the size of the squares the trellis forms. I like the durability and stretch of the product. I liked that it came quickly and was in perfect shape all bagged up and so forth. I did however see the same product but different dimensions 5'x15' at Walmart for under 5 bucks which makes it an even better deal for frugality's sake. I will probably get any additional trellises from Walmart only because I really don't have much more trellis to buy and the 15' sections would probably be enough without getting a whole one. So I will endure the long lines at Walmart if I have to buy more trellis. Overall the product was of good quality, and not a rip-off by any means. I recommend it, but I don't know what your local Walmart carries, it may be worth your while to check if you want to see the product face to face before purchasing it, or don't need a big bag of trellis in which case 5'x15' at under 5 bucks comes out to be cheaper in the short run. I happen to like Amazon because of the ease of ordering, and even though it takes a few days to get it by mail, I can bank on it getting there quickly, tax free, and without waiting in those crazy lines at Walmart. That kind of aggravation makes the additional 3 bucks I spent on Amazon more tolerable to me and my sanity. Buy it on an Amazon Chase card and eventually that money comes back to you in points you can use on your other purchases. I like that too. Good luck and happy gardening!

Netting well madeNice open squares

Strong and durable, and made in USA. This net works well for supporting pole beans, cucumbers, and some winter squash. I have used these for years, and they will support most vining crops.

This was just as advertised. We ordered this to use in our first ever vegetable garden for the zucchini, yellow squash, cantaloupe and green beans to climb. We secured it with tall metal poles and it has held up nicely. The plants seem to like it too, as the shot out their little tendrils and wrapped them around this netting. On a side note, it was amazing for us to see that for the first time!The netting was easy to get out of the package and we didn't have any issued with tangles or it falling apart when we cut it to tie down the different sections (used nails to secure to the raised bed wood sides, by tying a know around the nail head). The material seems to be holding up just fine.The size of the holes is perfect for what we needed, tight enough for the plants to find footing yet large enough for us to reach through it to check on the plants, fruit, and pull weeds.Jury is out as to how well it will support the heavy fruit once they start growing, I will update when this happens.Give this a shot, it's worth it and a good value for the price.

Purchased these last year for my pole beans, loved them! They worked so well that at the end of the season I pulled all the old vines off of them to save them for this year. I promptly put them up for safe keeping and then forgot the safe spot, so here I am buying them again. These are so worth buying if you need support for vegetables. I have only used them for beans so I cant speak about how good they would be for tomatoes which are much heavier. For beans I followed a youtube video and placed a T-post about every 4 feet, used a rope along the top of the T-posts and then zip tied this netting to the rope and to the T-posts--they held up the whole season last year and I believe they would have held up for at least another season if I hadnt misplaced them. You can see the netting in the back of my garden at the beginning of the season how the beans climbed right up the netting, at the end of the season they were so thick you couldnt see through the netting.

I had never used a trellis netting before for my cucumber plants as I always thought they would not be strong enough to hold the veggie. Boy was I wrong!The netting is PERFECT for cucumber plants and they hold up great! The plants vine naturally to the netting squares and pull up nicely and intertwine without putting too much stress on the plant. My cucumber plants have a heavy crop and the netting is not sagging or tearing and is holding up quite well. I have metal stakes at each end of the row and the netting ties to the poles. I also have another metal stake in the center of the row to ensure there is no sagging due to the ripening cucumbers.Since this was my "trial" year to try out the netting, it has surpassed my expectations and I plan on buying more of the Dalen Trellis netting!! I love it!

Needed this netting for some raised beds with welded metal trellis frames. I was a little concerned based on some of the reviews claiming that the netting would come tangled up. After seeing the packaged item delivered I became even more concerned; it looked like a jumbled mess!After I took out the netting and laid it flat on my lawn it became apparent that the tangling would not be an issue. I simply cut it into four separate length and hung it without further incident.The trellis netting has now been up over the course of a summer in North Carolina. It supported tomatoes, climbing squash, beans, cucumbers, and other vegetables without any issues. The final test came today when I pulled out those same vegetable vines to facilitate fall planting in the raised beds. I had some concerns as to the durability of the netting. However even after some serious pulling to remove clingy vines the netting held up well.I figure if the netting lasts for a few years it will be well worth it.

This net was badly tangled, this is not the sellers fault, this is the company's fault, it should be put on a cardboard and wrapped around the cardboard, not folded and jammed into a bag. This is what I done to be able to get untangled. I found the begining of the net, had some tent pegs so I pinned it to the lawn, when I got far enough away from the from the first tent pegs I put more tent pegs in to hold it, I was able to see which way the netting was tangled and which direction I had to put the net through. As I moved along, I would put more pegs in to help hold it. Use anything like spikes , tent pegs , wood pickets as long as you can shove them in the ground.I did get it untangled, maybe took me an hour. I chose to cut it in half so I can set up another trellis.

going into our 3rd season with this netting. We have a metal building in the back yard that I always thought could handle a few pea seeds grown against it. I attached this 3 summers ago about 5 feet up and 25 feet across. I had 5 feet left over that I just feed back across the area I had already done. We have brutal Canadian winters and very hot summers. This will be able to handle at least one more summer of peas. There are a couple of rips which if I had of taken it inside after the first summer would not have happened. It handled very heavy pea growth with all those pea pods hanging off of it. I would definitely buy this again.

Just what I needed. The nylon mesh was very gentle on the plants. The weave moves a little to help stoping friction damage. It would of been better in a green colour so that it wouldn't be as noticeable.

It's actually a little smaller than measurements shown, so had to customize frame we had made for it. But works great to support climbing green beans. We will be able to use it again next year.

I have bough this trellis net 3 years ago and it is still hanging strong there. The price is on the high side. One can buy much cheaper nets nowadays, but may not be as strong as this one.
