I was looking to upgrade from 2S to 3S batteries in my Traxxas TRX-4 crawler and spotted these batteries. HOOVO is not a brand I have any familiarity with and, like the vast majority of lipo batteries on the market, they're made in China. The batteries were packaged nicely and come with operating instructions which is handy for anybody new to lipo batteries. The key things of course are never to overly discharge them and to keep them at a proper voltage when not in use.I was a bit concerned initially because when I first plugged the batteries into my charger/voltmeter it indicated that they were a bit higher than a nominal storage voltage (see pictures). I ran the batteries for awhile and recharged them before using them a few more times before giving them a storage charge. The batteries are charging, discharging, and holding their storage voltage as I'd expect.The batteries fit perfectly in the front battery tray of my TRX-4. They give the truck plenty of power, and a surprising amount of speed for a crawler as well. I won't know for sure how much I like these batteries until I've had them much longer, but they're off to a good start so I have no objections giving them 5 stars!

The first thing I did upon receiving these is converted them both over to XT90 connectors, as everything I run is now XT90. Be very careful when soldering new connectors on a battery pack like this as short circuits can be...unpleasant. I can't stress this enough.I take it easy on new packs and charge at a very low rate initially - so I put these on my charger, set it for 1/2 C rate (2.1 Amps) on the "LiHV" setting (once again, use extreme caution when setting your charger - the wrong setting between LiPo, LiHV, and LiFe can lead to a fire rather quickly. As they come with a "storage charge" (usually around 50%, give or take), the initial charge doesn't take that long (these took around 70 minutes at 1/2 C) so 1C charge times should be around half an hour or a bit longer, if seriously depleted. Of course you can charge at higher rates, but usually to the detriment of the lifespan of the battery.These are really decent batteries for whatever your intended purpose. With the high voltage and 120C output, they make decent racing batteries (though the 4200mAh may prove a bit light, depending on how long your heats are), but are also good for speed runs wired in series for 6S (like I plan to use them for in my Kyosho MP10Te). They work well for me in my 1/8 truggy and should see some wicked fast speeds from them, although you can barely see them in the photo I took. But they're in there, trust me.I'm really happy with these, and give them 5 stars.

Batteries came in just clear wrapper arnd both. Remove them out of clear bag. And they were damaged. One of them will not take charge.

This Hoovo set included two batteries pretty much for the price of one 11.4 Volt 4200mAh 120C Battery from other manufacturers! The HOOVO 4200mAh 3 Cell Lipo battery are powerful, and nicely constructed in a nice tight 3 Cell wrapper, they feature added protection for the four wire ballance wire connector which is a nice touch. The small size of the HOOVO 4200mAh 3 Cell 11.4V allows for easy placement to establish proper weight and balance in my Wings and Helicopters. My Flight time has dramatically increased, allowing for more time flying and less time charging. My Overall Rating on the HOOVO 4200mAh 3 Cell Lipo Battery is an easy FIVE STARS. The Hoovo Batteries feature solid construction, and should last for many years in Ground, Marine, or Air applications. The Hoovo Batteries are readily available on the Amazon Website and APP.
