The Old and new…. I have to say the new generation is a bit crazy, the surprises are a bit of a wow, but in a good way. I think I say this every time I read one of Toni’s books but they are just so real. There is at least one character that everyone can relate to. While, the love is dream worthy and the men are hotter than sin, every word of her books are relatable, the characters, and their situations are real. Miscarriages, abortions, denied love, family issues, mental health issues, cancer and so much more… While I can promise you, if you haven’t read a Toni Aleo book, you will enjoy this little novella; you’ll finish reading this book wanting more; more Emery and Quinn, a second chance for happiness for Grace and more babies for Posey and Boon… Eek I mean this seriously was just not enough!

I gotta start by saying I always love Toni’s books. I have fallen in love with the characters and family ties through the years and they are always special when they get together. So… obviously when they all go to an over the top chalet for Christmas with all of them all over playing hockey or doing life, you gotta read it!Will it help you to read the other books to know them? Yes. Will you be able to read it without knowing their stories? Yes. Will this make you want to go and re-read all of the books? Again, yes.All I can say is if you don’t have an Emery in your life? You need one.This book is a sweet banter between different couples and people who th a Christmas twist to it. Thank you Toni for sharing the Brooks , Adler, and All the other families as well!!!

Another amazing book from Toni aleo, definitely a must for her fans

Thank you Ms. Toni Aleo for this spectacular book during the Christmas holidays. I loved every minute I spent reading every word of this book. It was wonderful catching up on some of the characters of one of my all-time favorite series!!This book certainly caused all my emotions while reading, I did a lot of laughing, a lot of crying mostly happy and a whole lot of frustration with one character in particular…. EMERY!!! I’m sorry Ms. Aleo, but I am REALLY upset with her again! Darn it Emery, you cannot mess with a person’s feelings like that!!! (YES people, I know this is a fictional book, but I am screaming here!!) Ms. Aleo, we, your loving readers, REALLY need to know what is going to happen there!! Sorry readers, if you want to know what I am referring to, you really need to read this spectacular story.Because of my absolute LOVE of reading romance, in particular, “hockey” romance, I was gifted with a copy of this phenomenal book for my thoughts and opinions on the book.My thoughts: I ABSOLUTELY LOVED this book!!Congratulations Ms. Aleo on scoring another win with this story!!Thank you for reading my review. Elli is over the top as usual because you know Xmas. It’s a beautiful family reunion, involving the Adlers, Brookes, Titovs and Paxton. Kids and grandkids are home for Xmas. We also get a glimpse of what is to come and what might be Toni's next books. Quinn and Emery? This book is for fans of the Assassin's Series. It’s best that you read all the books otherwise you won’t understand what is going on. So I invite you to read how it all began. Taking Shots by Toni Aleo. For you fans out there, it’s a quick but fun read and you’ll get an update on everyone. I loved it.
