Excellent choice
I dont understand how people do not read directions when buying something. I see reviews that if you read the directions it will explain everything this unit does and how it works. It is an excellent unit and the settings in the book tell you how they work. If it too loud and constantly running. You need to look in the owner's manual and it will tell you what to do. It has manual setting, eco settings, and automatic. READ the manual before you set it up.

Works BUT constant surging of fan on all settings
While this does work the unit I received has CONSTANT surging of the fan on ALL settings. I would expect if set on low, medium, or high that it would be a constant fan speed, not continuously changing speeds and surging that you can hear.

Great filter
This filter is a great compact system. The small color panel lets you know right away if air is unhealthy. It’s quiet on settings 1 & 2. Third setting is a little loud but quickly needed to filter air fast. It’s a pretty slim build and easy to use.

Do Not worth the money. bad air purifier
The noise the unit emits gets louder the longer the unit runs. However in this case it seems like the fan itself is louder, as if it's running faster. I don't know why this would be, I don't see how heat would change things, but without fail, the unit does sound louder after an hour or two while of running.Like seemingly all blower style fan products I've tried to use, it emits an irritating noise from the bearing or motor, still unsure of which after all these years. The noise is audible no matter the speed of the fan, but the lower speed the fan, the more audible the noise is. Sleep mode is completely useless because it's 90% that noise and 10% fan woosh. In fact, the bearing/motor noise is more audible the FURTHER you get from it due to its different frequency which travels further. If you're not bothered by certain sounds and/or have a higher noise floor, sure, it's fine.Whether or not it's an effective air purifier, I would say. I don't recommend it.

Quiet and does what it needs to do!
This air purifier might have basic functionality, but it's a silent powerhouse. We put it to the test against our current one, and it surprisingly does a stellar job clearing the air, especially against VOCs. It actually cleaned the VOCs quicker and more quietly than the more expensive purifier we have in our home. Granted this doesn’t have an app to tell you the air quality but if you look at the price of this unit compared to others you could just buy a stand alone air quality tester and still leave money in your pocket. The cost of the filter replacements were also very competitive which now has me second guessing if I should switch air purifiers. What caught my attention is the activated carbon – instead of the usual carbon filter, it uses pellets.

Decent air purifier for small/med-sized rooms, 5 stages, >[email protected]% removal, typical features
This is a relatively compact and portable (well, for one it's smaller than one of my Winix's and certainly smaller than my Daikin) air purifier for small- to medium-sized rooms. It has all the common features that most others have such as speed adjustments (4, one of which is SLEEP mode) and timer functions. In addition, it also has an ambient light at the top/front (not terribly bright though) which I find a bit annoying and it has no practical use for me personally (but perhaps someone finds it useful as a nightlight of sorts); though, it can be completely turned off if needed.≡ HEPA filterAn effective air purifier needs 2 critical well performed features; filtration and air movement. TRUE HEPA filtration is the minimum requirement nowadays for a decent air purifier which this one does not really indeed have but it's close enough (although H14/99.995% is more strictly considered as a TRUE HEPA filter by most, myself included) because it appears to be rated at >[email protected]% (since I can't find a definitive answer as to what exactly EPA Est. 99452-CHN-1 really is).For those who are curious, a true HEPA filter must be able to filter out at least 99.97% of particles that are 0.3 micron (or larger). This is why H13 isn't generally considered to be a true HEPA filter because it's only 99.95% effective (for particular sized particles). Now you might wonder what difference does 0.02% make; well, consider the billions upon billions of particles out there, even 0.02% can amount to a large number of unwanted particles that you don't wanna inhale. With that being said, [email protected]% is the rating for ISO (29463) standards so it really depends on which standards you are going with. Though, H13 is for the most part sufficient for consumer products.≡ Other filters (activated carbon, blue, and cold catalyst filters)A somewhat unique feature to this budget air purifier is the additional [stages of] filters it has such as the blue filter (for pollutants), activated carbon filter, and a cold catalyst filter (ammonia, VOC) that most others don't have and if they do have one it's usually the cheap foam type of filter that really does little. Well, I'm not sure exactly how MUCH the activated carbon filter does but I do hope it's the real thing and time will tell, always. As for the other 2 filters, well, your guess is as good as mine since they aren't usually found and it's nearly impossible verify their claims in either case so I guess I'll just have to take their words for it that they actually do something.≡ Airflow capabilityAir movement is also CRITICAL because without movement of air (and this is exactly how HEPA filters work; through mechanical means, i.e. physical impact), nothing really gets filtered and this depends on a powerful fan that can really move large amount of air. Given the size of this portable air purifier, it does a fairly good job at that in my opinion and it moves significantly amount of air particularly at the highest settings; though it's also the loudest (but it's actually slightly quieter than Winix that I have albeit at lower rate as well). This unit claims to have a CADR of 236 m³/h (cubic meters per hour, ~= 139 CFM) which means it's supposed to be able to completely circulate/move a volume of air ONCE in an area of roughly 1045 ft² assuming the ceiling height is about 8 ft.* Note that it advertises to have 134 CFM (227 m³/h) here on Amazon but it's actually 139 CFM in the manual so I'll go with the manual instead. It claims to be able to completely circulate a volume of air in an area of 1008 ft² which is based on 134 CFM which is correct, if this is indeed rated at 134 CFM.✔✔ Quick PRO tip: to calculate CFM required to circulate ONCE for your home, multiply the area in ft² by 0.133. For example, if your home/room is 1000 ft² and then the CFM need to circulate the air ONCE for your entire home (roughly of course) is 133 CFM. Of course, we often wanna do it about 4 TIMES PER HOUR instead of ONCE per hour (because 1hr is simply too long to be effective), you'd need something capable of 532 CFM for your home/room.As such, this particular air purifier is probably ONLY EFFECTIVE for rooms up to about 261 sq² (1045/4).✔ For air purifiers to be effective, you should always find the highest fan speed (i.e. highest noise level) you can or are willing to tolerate for the benefits of clean air rather than lowest noise level you'd like to have because if you do that, you are just having an expensive fan gently blowing air without doing much filtering. Remember; air can only be purified IF they pass through the filter which REQUIRES constant and consistent CIRCULATION of air.Last but not least, the sleep mode will turn off the all LED lights and lower the speed of the fan which should be more than sufficiently quiet for most people so that's good news; however, it's reasonably loud at the highest speed but that's NOT unique for this purifier though; it's a simple law of physics that faster moving of air will generate louder sound so I won't fault it for that.≡ ValueAll things considered, this is a fairly decent small- to medium-sized room purifier that's reasonably priced at $126 for what it provides (one of the few that's rated for [email protected]% removal) with H13 HEPA filters. Most of the other budget purifiers only use 99.95% filters. Though, perhaps more importantly is that its claim of 139 CFM is amongst some of the highest at this price range along with a supposedly unique 5-stage filtration system (commonly only 3 for most others) although I can't be certain the effectiveness of the extra 2 filters.

Nice machine, way better design over circular designs
I've been using air purifiers in my home since the pandemic started and the only complaints I have include:1) Cost of replacement filters2) You need to place a circular air purifier at least 2 feet away from the wall - wastes space, I want to hide the purifierFor this air purifier the filters cost about $80 for two sets, so $40 a year, not bad... wish it was a bit cheaper. For placement, the air filter is flat and on one side of the unit so you can place the closed side closer to a wall while the air is pulled in from the front and blown out the top - very cool! This means the air purifier can be hidden better and not be sticking out like a sore thumb.Other comments:- I like the look of this unit, it's simple, not too big and the controls look nice lit up- Changing the filters is very easy, just pull off the front flap and you have full access - I like that the cover is held on by magnets- It's quiet on the low-med settings, I only use it on low and it's pretty much silent at this levelThe only feature that's missing is one that not everyone uses.... it's an "auto" feature that controls the fan speed based on air quality.Overall, this is a great unit - use it on a timer and you'll be really happy with the results.Tip: Save the filter by turning off the purifier when you are not home or in the room.

Quiet and very basic straightforward model suitable for small spaces
OKSOU Air Purifiers Large Room, 1008 Sqft Coverage, 5-Stage H13 True HEPA & Washable Filter, 23dB Quiet Cleaner Odor Eliminators in Bedroom, Removes 99.97% of Pollen Dust Dander Hair Smoke, Night Light, Apollo 630This is a small area odor eliminating air purifier. Comes with a five-stage filter which includes everything from coarse filtration to carbon filtration to everything in between. H13 HEPA filter system basically ensures that the smallest of particles are filtered through and clean air is ejected out. It's a very simple good looking modern looking unit. There's nothing fancy no remote. It just has three levels of operation and a filter cleaning or change reminder.. fancy blue gradient lights can be turned on or off but I like to keep it on. In terms of how loud the unit is: stage one is whisper quiet. However stage 2 and 3 are audible and can be distracting. Personally I feel like you need to be keeping the filter on at level 2 in order to be at all effective. I think if you are you used to having air purifies around the house then level two becomes a tolerable level of noise. My opinion on this air purifier is that it's a very simple functional model with no bells and whistles. In terms of cleaning the filter it's just easy you just take it outside, dust It off or blow it off with an air blower. You should be able to use it for a very long time. But the obvious issue here is that when you do need to replace the filters, I have no idea where you buy them. Unless you buy a mainstream product , this is the biggest flaw with buying a purifier that is some unknown off-brand unit. You won't be able to find filter replacements by the time you want to replace them !For now, I appreciate the simplicity and I will enjoy this product until it lasts. Despite the issue with purchasing replacement filters, I can easily recommend this straightforward unit. In my experience, so long as your regularly maintaining cleaning of the filters by way of vacuuming the dust and air blowing each layer outside, this should last quite a long time.I hope this helps.

Compact and Effective
One of the major issues I faced was lingering odors, especially after cooking meals like stir-fry or frying steak. During the cold winter months when it's not feasible to open windows, these smells could hang around for days. However, this air purifier has proven to be a reliable solution. When I cook, I simply switch it on, and within a short time, the cooking odors are virtually eliminated. Another handy use for this purifier is when my robot vacuum is doing its job. I've noticed that it helps filter out airborne particles like dust and pet hair, leaving the air noticeably cleaner. In my bedroom, I use it at night, either in sleep mode or the lowest setting, and it operates almost silently. It's perfect for creating a peaceful sleeping environment. Even when I use the second fan speed while watching TV, it's barely audible. The third speed is a bit noisier, but it's great for when you need a powerful purification boost. Personally, I find that I rarely need to use the highest setting. Sometimes, when I come home to a room filled with odors or pollutants, I'll start it on the highest setting for about 10-15 minutes and then dial it down to the lowest. With the increasing number of wildfires during the summer, air quality has become a concern, and this air purifier has been a valuable addition to my home, especially since I have elderly family members and children. It effectively combats the smell of smoke and keeps the air clean and fresh.
