This is my favorite Celtic knot pendant. I have another one from the Amazon Collection that has four triquetra knots connected within a circle. That one looks more masculine, as do many Celtic knots. This unique design with a shamrock and hearts has a more feminine style. The sterling silver is oxidized, giving the pendant an authentic aged look that is desirable for Celtic pieces. Oxidized jewelry is very low-maintenance, as tarnish is part of the beauty.My only complaint is that the thin sterling silver rolo chain doesn't really complement the pendant. It's a nice Italian chain, but it's too bright and delicate for a sizable Celtic pendant. The pendant has a large bail, so it would be simple to swap the chain for something more substantial.The chain is stamped with "925" and "ITALY." The pendant is stamped with "925" and "CHINA." Prime Art & Jewel is the manufacturer. The pendant is very well-made with an intricate and detailed Celtic design. It has an authentic feel that doesn't look cheaply machine stamped. It is better quality and more affordable than the Celtic jewelry you find at renaissance festivals.

The chain I received is a smallish-gauge (shiny) sterling rolo chain, made in Italy; it is the full 18". The pendant is made in China and has a black/antiqued rhodium plating, the body (without bail) is larger than a US quarter. Both are nice, but they don't go particularly well together (and may explain why some reviewers think the chain is cheap, or the pendant clunky). The bail is large enough to fit onto a 1/8" (3mm) flat collar necklace, so a larger gauge chain might be more proportional. I don't mind shiny with oxidized, but if you want consistency try an antiqued/oxidized chain (hint: marcasite pendants often come on one or the other; a good way to see which look you prefer).

When I first saw the pendant, I did not like it!! It was just not what I expected. BUT once I looked at it more I saw the character of it and now I like it enough to gift it it a co-worker for her birthday! I agree with other reviews on the chain not quite matching the pendant but that is easy to fix. All in all It is a nice little necklace especially for the price.

This was much more beautiful in person! This stylized Celtic Knot looked quite elegant when worn. My wife (a lover of all things Irish) loved both the look of it and the symbolism displayed through it.

This necklace is really beautiful. Larger than it appears but still lovely. I got it as a gift for a family member. Unfortunately it arrived with the chain all tangled, which was a packaging issue/shipping issue, and I have yet to untangle it without fear that it will break. However the necklace itself is beautiful and I hope I can resolve the tangle in the chain before Christmas.

This was a wonderful find, it is gorgeous and has just enough weight to really hang nicely while still being delicate. My mom went nuts for it as a Mothers day gift and has taken to wearing it every day now! If you knew how hard it was to find gifts, especially jewelry, that my mother liked let alone loved, youd already have clicked buy.

I originally bought this more to base a tattoo off of it. It's a little bit bigger/bulkier than I thought it would be, but still very nice. I am having trouble finding a chain that looks right with it. I think I will head to the craft store and get a piece of leather to wear it on. Very solid, nice piece.
