We do not have a big lounge. Nevertheless, and especially since Lockdown it has now become a Live Video studio, it has become a frustrating and hazardous place to sit around bingeing on sex and violence on Netflix. This is because my husband has a special Pole Position from which he able to enjoy the full effects of his Surround Sound. Unfortunately, I have to sit on his left, so the space between the coffee table and the vast jumble of musical equipment which has silted up to the point where anyone keen on Feng Shui would faint, he had poor access to the coffee table which now has to be exclusively in front of me. Now, my husband has two tendencies in Life, one is to make the minimum effort in absolutely everything, and the other, sparked by Friction Anxiety, is to push down the discomfort with food and drink. So, you can see the problem. This results in him being unable to achieve any functional 'reach' across the huge gut to rest beverages upon the coffee table. My nightly entertainment has, as a result, been besmirched by constant requests to 'pass me this' 'put down that'. I could see, as a professional couple therapist, that we were heading down a very maritally destructive path here. I cast about for a solution. Then, one day, I, completely accidentally, while looking for, oh I dunno drain cleaner, or an attractive pair of shoes, who knows, came across this object. I was excited, I can tell you! I ordered it up, and it duly arrived. Apart from a few days of Utility Handling skill building, which involved a small argument about which mug is best for the slot, managing to wrench out the plastic slot free insert, and experiments to see just how large a wine glass the holder would tolerate, we are extremely happy. Divorce averted, coffee table now my exclusive preserve, re runs of Dad's Army (him) and violent cop dramas (me) untrammelled by me having to be Mrs Pass-Me Handmaiden. You guys have saved my marriage. Oh, and wipe clean, I'm actually tearing up here.

As you can see it’s perfect for the job, it’s really sturdy and when I move about the chair it’s doesn’t move. They are great I have this one on my leather suite and my son has one on his material suite and they do the same job on both suites. Recommend

I have assorted mobility problems and cope with chronic pain so my hands aren’t always steady. I also have a cat and as most cat owners will confirm cats can be real jerks knocking things over just for fun, so I’ve found this product to be invaluable! Hopefully there’ll be no more dousing in Diet Coke in my future. I do drink a fair amount of canned diet soft drinks and this aid makes sure it stays exactly where I leave it, as the draping arms are weighted. I thought it was a little pricey at £20 but it is a quality sturdily made product that can securely hold canned drinks or a mug of coffee/ tea etc when the removable inner insert has been detached. I definitely recommend this product to anyone with similar problems or for the elderly in general.

Wasn't sure about this because the shape of my sofa arm means that one of the side flaps of the coaster is totally in contact with sofa arm. However, purely in the interests of research, both bottles of wine were consumed and the glass stayed safely installed in the holder between gulps! Only criticism is that the holder needs to be MUCH bigger, my coffee cups only balance on the top, even with the inner ring removed. Wine glass only fits with ring removed too.......

This Couchcoaster is the perfect solution to our problem. Our elderly relative, who is staying with us, had 2 or 3 accidents with her hot drinks, spilling them on herself and on the floor after resting them on the arm of her chair or missing the side table. We ordered this...problem solved! The weighted ends hold it firmly in place on the wide chair arm, and the inner surface stops it slipping. It stays exactly where it is, even when pushed and is easy for her to use. Even if she falls asleep the mug is safely held in place. We haven't used the insert yet, but it fits snugly into the holder so I don't forsee any problems. We'll be buying one for her to use at home!

I feel like I haven’t truly appreciated our couch coasters so here I am showing my appreciation! We bought our couch coasters because my baby started cruising and was pulling tables down so we had to get rid, but then where was my drink going to sit?! On our couch coaster of course! They are heavy and sturdy, sure my baby sometimes tries to pull them down but the accidents have reduced considerably and if it happens it’s just a mess to clear up and no injury! It really has solved a problem for us that we didn’t know how to solve and we honestly couldn’t live without them now. Slightly on the dear side but worth it in my opinion.

Was so disappointed in this product it looked so cheap and just like a crudely molded lump of plastic. What is worse is my mug was loose in the holder (think it is designed for a builders mug) my wine glass too big to sit in. Also it did not feel safe on my sofa easily slipped (might work better on a leather sofa but not on fabric) I had bought this as a gift but just looking at it there was no way I would have sent it with it not looking worth anything like the cost of it. I also think the likelihood of spilling drinks would actually increase with using this item. There is nothing good I can think to say about this product except the refund was quick!

This item was so good I have ordered a second one. So my review is exactly the same as the first . Delighted.This is so very well made, it hangs securely on our wider armed leather suite. When the inner has been removed it even keeps a very large cup with ease. I could not have been more pleased with this purchase. I have previously had other over arm holders and they have looked shoddy in comparison to this one. I ordered mocha and the colour is just perfect. I would recommend to any one.
