TecTake Under desk pedestal container on castors with 6 drawers (Blue | No. 400925)

This is a sturdy little item. I chose blue and white, and the colours are bright and vibrant. I know this is sold as an under desk item, but I have put a small television on it, in the spare room. It is just the right height to watch TV from the bed. I have found lots of small items to tuck away in the drawers. Another reviewer has commented that the drawers are not wide enough to take a sheet of A4 paper, but as I am not using this item for this purpose I am very pleased with it. It moves easily on the carpet too, which is a smooth carpet, not a thick pile one. I think it looks very smart and the blue goes with my colour scheme perfectly. However, I feel I must mention that when the unit was put together there was a rather strong odour to it. This may have been the paint, or perhaps the packing it had come in. I found it went off after a couple of days of leaving it in the room with window open. I would recommend it as a nice little unit.

Easy enough to assemble. But I found many of the screws would take very little torque, and this was quite variable. So either it's been inaccurately drilled or maybe my unit had been partially assembled and returned by a disgruntled customer.In places there is some kind of plastic insert that the screws are going into and you can do those up a little big tighter, but not much before the fibreboard it's made of cracks.Then you shove little dowels in to stop the drawers falling out but they're too long, and most of them don't fit that tightly. The whole thing would probably benefit from using glue on all the fixings, which I didn't do.It looks nice and we'll see how it holds up, but I think the cardboard box it came had more structural rigidity.

Lovely piece of furniture. Recommend
