I have 2 large dogs that need to be washed down after most walks in the winter.This works very well and is a lot cheaper than getting a permanent outside mixer tap installed (which I had been considering).I am very happy with this product.

I regularly prepare my dogs for showing & bathing & grooming is done outside. I have been using an adaptor for my mixer tap but have been on the lookout for a better product. This seemed to fit the bill from the description, so I had a look on the seller's website where the images are much easier to read & I could get a proper idea of how it works & fits together. Supplied in the pack is a dog wash shower head, 'quick fit' hose connector, permanent tap aerator & 2 hozelock metal adaptors (one for the shower head & one for the tap adaptor). You will need to provide your own hosepipe & hose end connectors (available from Amazon), which I already had (hozelock 1/2" 12.5mm). It is easier to cut the required length of hose before attempting to attach the fittings. One of the hozelock adaptors is fitted to the shower head & then to one end of the hosepipe. At the tap end, the existing mixer tap regulator has to be unscrewed & replaced with the supplied Quick Fit aerator (there are adaptors supplied to fit various spouts). This fitting is left permanently on the tap & provides a non splash water stream in normal use. Attach the second hozelock adaptor to the other end of the hosepipe & screw the hosepipe connector into the hozelock adaptor. NB - the Quick Fit aerator & hosepipe connector were joined together & I first had to fit to the tap before I could separate the hosepipe connector. When you want to use the shower, simply slide the hosepipe connector on to the quick fit aerator on the tap & turn on the water. It's recommended to start with low pressure & adjust accordingly. I did a 'dry run' today without a dog & found that the system worked very well (much better than my previous adaptor). My only comment at this early stage is that when I closed the lever on the shower head to turn off the water flow, there was some leakage in the fitting on the tap. I have therefore fitted an elastic band around the lever to keep it permanently on. I am very impressed with the quality of materials used (mostly metal) & genuine hozelock adaptors are supplied. I will be using it properly later this week when it will be fully tested - hence the 4* for now.

The pack is made up of excellent quality components, which sadly wasn't matched by the rubbish hose pipe and click on tap connectors Pam bought from a local store. However having cannibalised our garden hose, our elderly dog was far less stressed being shampooed and washed on the patio and the shower pack will be something we enjoy using in the future. The moral of the story is, you need 2 click on tap connectors and so please buy Hoselock or similar good quality ones and pre-cut a length of hosepipe just the right length in advance.

Good strong jet of water. Fits onto Hoselock.

Leaks a bit at the tap which can make quite a mess, but I put a towel round the join to avoid the splashing - apart from that its really good and the dogs loved their outdoor shower with warm water :)
