No, they are true to size. I usually wear a small (sometimes a medium) and got a small in these. I’m 5’4” and the length is perfect and stops right above the ankle.

Small will probably fit. I find them just a little long but not a problem. I am 5’6”, 140 very athletic build and bought Medium- They fit great

I would get one of the darker colors or one of the patterned ones.
