ChampionDeer Target

Practicing by shooting the vitals of a deer is key to successful deer hunting. 3d deer targets are great but expensive. I pin the Champion Deer Target onto my cube target that is sitting on a small platform to get the correct height. The paper target is bigger than my cube so, use other objects to keep the excess paper (head and back) upright. Works great for me at a very low cost.

I used this for rifle after zeroing on standard diamond grid paper. Most deer do not have diamond and circle aim-points on them in nature. When I looked down the scope I saw a fairly realistic representation of a deer at 100 and 200 yards. I treated this more like a hunting situation (i.e., I did not spend time like I do when shooting for zero, nor did I use a rear rest) and just put the crosshairs where the heart should be and fired. I think it is nice (confidence building) to look at a more realistic target and see the holes in the heart and lungs. Stage 2 is to put them out at typical distances and angles from a stand for even more enhanced practice.Overall I'm very happy. I would like to see a package with more in them to help get the price down. It would also be nice if they could keep the brown color but make a shoot-n-see version.

I was looking for a target to use to prepare a novice shooter for a first deer hunting trip. Big box retail stores had limited target selection so I checked Amazon. I'm not convinced that these were the optimal choice but they served the purpose.

It's a piece of paper that you shoot. I'm not sure how much of a review can be said about that. Um, it looks just like the picture (just bigger) and um, it feels like quality paper. If you're looking to by paper to shoot at for hunting, buy this one. It actually is very helpful for my wife. She is new to hunting and this helped her perfect shooting in the correct location.

Used these to sight in several rifles and muzzleloaders this past Fall. The targets are a heavy weight that doesn’t tear and I was able to put many shots through. Also with the grids, it allowed me to easily adjust my scope horizontally and vertically by just counting the squares and applying the appropriate number of clicks on the scope. Very pleased!!

These targets are great for practice... especially when introducing a new hunter to deer hunting. They are high quality and durable. I use clear tape to tape over my holes each time I check my grouping/shot placement. This allows me to identify new holes and you can barely notice any damage to the target from rifle range distances.

My step-son loves the target. It's the icing on the cake to get him outside for some fresh air and put his new bow to work.

The weight of the paper on these is really thin - easily torn and damaged. The graphic is good, just wish it was more of a poster weight paper.

Great looking target easy to see through a scope makes it easy to zero.
