I wanted to write this review because of the things I've read regarding this safe and other safes in this price range. First, don't be fooled. You order a safe mail order, there is a good chance it will come dented, it might look a little ugly, but it doesn't affect its purpose. Nature of the beast. Don't worry about it. Second thing, the fingerprint reader is good, but not perfect. Don't expect perfection with sloppy fingerprint reads. If you hold your finger on the sensor exactly as it was recorded, you won't have issues. Third thing, it's light. Bolt it to the wall, floor, or piece of heavy furniture. This safe is not the end all, be all of security when it comes to safes. So don't treat it like fort Knox. Just treat it as another barrier from theft. But do everything else to protect your precious things. Fourth and final thought. This is a good safe for the money. It's not fireproof. It's not waterproof. But it'll provide adequate protection from unauthorized access and theft attempts if you set it up right. Just hide this safe well. Anchor it to something sturdy. And have a good home alarm system to siren during the entire time the thief is trying to decide how to remove the safe from your home if he even finds it. Increase the theifs anxiety, and likely you'll come back home to the safe still being there while the thief turns tail to run.Edit: Just wanted to add, the fingerprint reader is actually really good. And it's super fast compared to other biometric devices I have. It literally unlocks the safe in under a second. And additionally it detects when the finger is pressed against the sensor. Other biometric scanners require an activation button to "turn on" the sensor. Love it. Also, everything has been working perfectly so far. Love this little safe. It was a good buy.

I did not like the fact that it is not fire resistant, and that it has alot of ways to unlock it. When you have alot of keys it makes it easier to break into

The first safe would not work at all. I emailed the seller and went thru their check list with them, and they were happy to send me another safe. Second safe came in really fast. had no problems and programing went perfect. The lights for the inside could be brighter but overall, the safe seems well-made and I like the extra safety feature if someone tries to pry open the door. I like the inside shelf and it adjust to the perfect height for me. I have it mounted with the hardware that came with it and I like it. The first safe had a smell from the glue but after a day of being open the smell went away. Well worth the money. By the time they spend trying to open the alarm system will have notified the police.

The safe is the perfect size for important documents and handguns. Multiple shelves allow you to sort items as needed. Digital keypad was easy to set with a new code. I will be looking to buy this for a few people come holiday time. If I could give this a 10 star review, I would. Super affordable, durable, and dependable.

Once you activate the finger print sensor any one can open it I was surprised when I saw my little girl put her finger on it and it opened I made a huge mistake when I bought it.

All functions work

I did a lot of research into safes when we decided to close our bank safety deposit box. For all the features this seamed to be the best safe for us. It's not fireproof, but very well built. It arrived quickly and appears to be very easy to learn to set the different ways to enter. My only issue is that there are a few minor chips of paint around the door. Very happy with the safe and would buy it again!

UPDATE 3/8/22: I just discovered the Fingerprint access to VERY accommodating on this safe. I processed two fingerprints for access to this safe and, quite by accident, found it will open with just about ANY fingerprint except my pinky fingerprint. Not at all "secure" for that option. I took the batteries out and now only use the key access. On the upside of things, it came with two keys. :/I researched purchasing this safe for 3 moths prior to making the decision this was the safe best suited for my needs. Key points in making this decision are:1. Size, not too big making it easier to place securely.2. Three ways to securely access the safe should 2 methods fail (a cut on a finger print can affect access and codes can be forgotten.3. Interior light. It isn't all that bright but at night, with the lights off, it isn't blinding either.4. Location of locking bolts centralized rather than on top or bottom.It's not a heavy safe so bolting it into place (floor and wall mounts predrilled) with the 4 mounting bolts (included) is highly suggested. This is not a firesafe so keep this in mind when deciding your purchase. I already had a fire safe for documents.
