Everything looks good so far
Works well with scope I have.

Awesome mount
Mount is very sturdy, but difficult to level scope. Must raise to adjust/level, then lower to the correct height/ eye relief.

looks good and works
this works for an adjustable MOA scope base, and built strong

Versatile, adjustable, heavy-duty mount for 30mm or 1" scope.
WestHunter Optics Precision WH301 Picatinny Scope Mount.Well, I am impressed with all the features and things this mount can do.. I am not going to use many of them, but it is a very versatile device. It arrived with two hex wrenches, one for the scope ring bolts, and a larger one for the mount-adjusting bolts. There was no documentation or instructions included. I took things apart to figure out what its capabilities are.The rings can be moved outward or inward, independently of each other. But only in a couple of positions, determined by the threaded bolt holes locations. They are not "infinitely" adjustable. The big hex bolts that secure the moving rings must be tightened quite firmly or they will not clamp with much force. I am just using the rings in their standard position. Also, you can tip the rings slightly. I am not sure why you would want to. I am just using them in their flat, base level position. There are inserts to convert the 30mm rings to snugly fit a 1" tube. The adapters fit well and have flanges on their edges that center them precisely in the ring halves. I am using those, because I am mounting a 1" scope tube. There is a little bubble level machined into the top half of one of the rings, to help you keep your crosshairs level. I personally do not use those generally, but it is there if you do. It can be positioned front or rear, left or right. It is easy visibility green.I like the wide, stable mounting platform and wide rings using two bolts on each side of each ring to spread the clamping load. Be sure you have enough free scope tube to use this mount, and your scope turrets will have enough room between the rings. But, lots of adjustability with this mount. The base uses two bolts to tighten the clamping rail to your picatinny rail. The mount base hat two round recoil lugs.I recommend using a removable thread locker compound on all bolts (like blue LockTite, available on Amazon). This is a kind of oddball unicorn of a mount, but would have definite uses in certain cases.I am using it to mount a big scope.

Wow this is nice!
I am really impressed with the build quality of this scope mount. It's really well thought out and offers a ton of flexibility. The rings are held to the base with 2 hex screws on either end. Loosening these allows for free range of motion of the rings allowing you to extend or shorten the space between rings. This is ideal for scopes with larger than usual turrets, or offset placement of the windage dial on one side and parallax on the other. You can get the rings to hold the scope exactly where you want them to on the tube. This also allows you to freely adjust cant up or down to add several MOA of windage for long range shooting or to account for barrel droop on an air rifle. This allows you to optically center your scope so you don't have to rely on cranking the scopes elevation knob to extremes to get zero'd. This completely eliminates the need for shims! There are other adjustable rings available, but alot of them only allow straight up or down adjustment. This works fine to raise or lower a scope, but is not ideal for adding cant since it creates pressure points on the scopes tube once the rings are torqued down. This allows you to achieve those results while keeping the front and rear ring in perfect alignment with each other. This is also a fantastic looking mount. It has that "tactical" look which I love but others may roll their eyes at. The bubble level is a handy addition for mounting your scope level, and making sure you're shooting from a level position on the bench.I am really impressed with this mount. Gives you the flexibility and features of mounts that cost 5x as much. I think Westhunter really knocked it out of the ballpark with this one!

Not a good mount
Scope does not fit in this base when it is ALL THE WAY DOWN!Edit: Westhunter offered to refund the amount I spent on this scope mount back in April. I accepted their offer 2x (4/18 and 4/28 2025) and have YET to recieve it. Today is May 14, 2025.....

So much easier than guestimating drop
Usually you have to mark a point and and bear upwards until you cannot even see the target, but with this, extreme distance plinking got so much easier. I had to bring the rings closer for my scope, but that worked out better to increase the pitch down angle. Mind you, I was using a .22 in this, but I do not see this not working with most competition frames. The machining was on point for the type, without any sharp edges, and the finish was even and clean on all parts. Ring base screws do need a fair bit of torque to tighten properly, but still easy enough to ease in to adjust the lift and/or angle. The 30mm to 1in cups are edged on the outside lip to fit securely in the ring housing without any hint of wiggle or bulging. And to further that attention to detail, the wee bubble is clearly visible in low light while being able to be mounted left or right. This is so much easier than having to attach another piece to the system for checking your squaring up.Loved this. So much easier than shims and sky shots!!

Nice solid mount. Unfortunately I can't use it.
So I bought this for my Ruger American 223 Rem. The scope mounts I had were too short and I was smacking my thumb on the scope every time I opened the bolt. I bought this based on reviews and I liked the extra adjustment I had.Unfortunately for whatever reason this mounted my scope too high so even with the elevation turned as low as it would, and the mount pushed up in the rear, I was shooting 6+ inches high. I ended up removing it and using some medium height mounts.I'm not sure if it was my setup or not but I could not get my rifle even on paper with a bore sighter with this mount. Switched to a different one and I'm near the bullseye in 3 shots.
