Q: Trying to figure out what the red light means or find a manual. Any suggestions?

Thank you for your question. A red LED will illuminate above the clean icon indicating it is time to clean the transducer/ultrasonic membrane. For more information, an instruction book is available on the Homedics website, or you can email Homedics at cservice@homedics.com and request the instruction book. Be sure to provide the model number.

Q: How do you clean the inner tube? Is there an easy way to remove it to clean?

Thank you for your question. We recommend using distilled water, and running a cycle of vinegar and water through the humidifier. Place a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water inside the water tanks and turn the humidifier on for about 30 minutes. You can then use a flexible bottle brush or pipe cleaners to help remove any residue. We recommend changing the demineralization cartridges in your humidifier every 30-40 fillings of the tank.
