Just gets better and better
Recommended by a friend. Tried initially, liked it. and loved it. The characters are well crafted and are layered with depth and complexities. The stories are funny, entertaining but also action packed and tense. Matt Dinniman has had me in the palm of his hand for nearly 3 months reading the full series and it just keeps getting better. Late to the game but thoroughly recommend this to anyone who loves gaming, dungeons, dnd or just a hilariously entertaining read. Read more

Wow what a crazy , hectic , chaos filled floor and we finally see more of the plan as we go all out to save humanity. Great reading and of course excellent writing. Can't wait for 7 as it looks to get even bloodied than we have seen before.

Are you not entertained?!
You must read the other books. This is sci fi, geeky and nerdy, with tons of humour and contemporary references. There's a talking cat. She's the prettiest cat in the galaxy. There's love and there's sadness. There's revenge, hopefully. And it's damned clever and original. As a player of a gacha computer game who constantly battles the endless manipulations and temptations of the game company, the premise of evil corporations motivated by pure greed struck a very loud chord. If you've ever played one, you'll know.We are the crawlers, of every creed.

Just finished reading the series Stu far and it's probably one of the best series I've read so far. I will admit I was on the fence with this series fur debut but after reading so many recommendations I decided it had to be worth a read of at least the first book and couldn't be happier I did read it. It's not only a very funny series their have been some seriously lovable characters, not just Carl and donut but also katia, elle, imani, samantha even ren was fun and dad to read. Looking forward to more books.

Yet again, Love the book, love the series and love everything you can think of. HOWEVER, for the first time so far...........there is no next book. I am now actually having to wait. And this makes me oh so sad! I am hoping book 7 will be out sooner rather than later, but already, I am looking at rereading the complete series again. Matt, what have you done to me?!

the best
It’s easy to perceive this genre as schlocky and shallow. A lot of it is, and it’s great.Ddc seems to wear that perception as a mask. Front loading dark humour and game mechanics in order to shove raw humanity down your throat. It’s a fun journey which offers more to those who are open to it. Everything about this is top notch. I’ve read it twice and i am comfortable saying this one of my favourite series, some of my favourite writing, and it speaks to me on a personal level.I need need you to keep going Matt. No pressure. I’ll always read what you put out.Thank you

Good pace and world building
Can't believe how well this author writes. The book is compelling from start to finish. The plot is riveting and fast-paced. The way the Matt makes the story so interesting and yet consistent makes for a universe that you can't get enough of. From the beginning in which the greatest challenge were neighborhood bosses to now, where city bosses just pop up left and right, the story is as enticing as ever, especially the parallel plot with macro dungeon mechanics/politics/rebels/spies. 10/10, can't wait to eat the next book already!
