A great perspective! Felt more of an awesome discussion than just a book. Both a leader and coach myself the author had me thinking about how to define, approach and balance the roles in new ways. Especially useful thought for my upcoming competitive coaching season. Really liked the honesty the author takes delving into the errors as well. Great topics that can be read in any order like communication, vision, or recognition. As the book says "anyone can lead in a moment" and anyone can find benefit in this material.

Great book for leadership

Although Scott’s experience and anecdotes are based on his military experience they are relevant and transferable to leaders in businesses, non profit, social enterprise, government etc. Highlighting the fundamental key to success as Trust is especially appropriate and necessary in today’s world where people expect more from their leaders and employers!

This book gives you an excellent insight on how to coach and lead people. The author’s approach is humble and present things based on solid experience in leadership. Strongly recommended.

Having served with the author, having been led by this officer and learned from his leadership, I love this book. His personality, wisdom and self-effacing insights make this book exceptionally easy to read and entertaining. Well worth the time and cost.
