Enjoyable
Fast paced sci fi. Good action and believable cast. It's a unique plot that hasn't reminded me of any other books I've read. I'm looking forward to book 2. I know the cover screams harem, but this is not a harem novel. The series does have the potential to go that way though.

Good series, but despite appearances this is NOT a harem series.
I love this series and not what I was expecting. Despite the MMC moving to a country that is mostly comprised of beautiful women this series is not a harem series or even really a romance series. Which considering that the MC is a 16 year old boy, I'm OK with that.

Absolutely Amazing
Just happened to see this while scrolling and thought it looked interesting. I was wrong. I was gripped within minutes of starting to read it and didn't want to stop until I had read it all. The characters were all incredible and seemed like real, genuine people with their own individuality. The action keeps you glued to your seat and eagerly anticipating the end. In all I was greatly impressed by this book and eagerly await the next chapter in Jack's life.

Sci fi magic Rollercoaster
This book is amazing. The melding of magic and science fiction, the way it just rolls with the punches, and how it traps your attention is incredible. Are there some misspelled words? Yes. But nothing that a decent editor should be able to pick up and clean up.I am now hooked to this series and I want more!

Can't get a break.
This series is starting out as a wonderful Scifi-Fantasy. MC is a young guy trying to do the best for his crippled sister and, of course, finds himself in the wrong place at the wrong time. He enlists in the military to help with establishing the new normal that he (and his angelic companion) finds himself in.Everything goes to hell and highwater soon after. Well written action, drama, and development happen while a good amount of world-building is cementing itself in the background. With different nations and empires coming to ahead and the impressive amount of powerful beings threatening all, this story is shaping up into special. Can't wait for the next book.It needs to be said. There are some big grammatical errors in this book that make me want to lower my rating 1-star, and I'm normally laxed regarding grammar issues. I hope they get fixed soon.

Welcome surprise
Good writing, good story, and good characters. There may be a thing or two that seem ridiculous around how they are treated at times, but they are only a few, and they are not too bad, just kinda cheep ways to move the story or build tension, but things that you do see in a lot of mainstream books.Overall, I wholly recommend this book. They did a really good job, and I'm hooked.

Its anime tropes on parade
How do I say this. This book isn't one where I can point to a specific inspiration where I can say that its clearly derived from another work. However, at the same time there were so many scenes that reminded me over the overall tempo and plot that you find in your average anime. Of course that means that I have issues.Anime is a visual medium, and that allows for character growth from actions and movement. Books don't offer the same ability for the dispersal of information and character growth, but so many newer authors who love anime seem to try to write tales with the same pacing as an anime series. It doesn't work for me and this book clearly has problems with its pacing. Its not a bad tale, but the high energy pacing meant that character growth was missing. I just can't recommend this tale to others. Its missing some crucial elements.

Good Book
I liked the characters. The main duo of Jack and Sara are entertaining to read, but my favorite character in the book is his little sister Jill, when she appears it puts a smile on my face. Eleanor is another great character and I am sad to see her go.I like the world building with the little bulbs at the beginning of each chapter. The things I disliked are his tendency to blame Sara for things that were mostly his fault, and inconsistent statistics toward the end of the book. Worth reading!!

A good start
Cool world building and magic system with interesting characters, big fights and conniving villains, my only disappointment was that I was expecting some spicy sexy bits but maybe it’s only building up for book 2 since the MC is still a teen

This was very very good
As title says, this one was a very very good book. It went a little off kilter once or twice but overall it was a very good well rounded book. Looking forward to the next in the series.

Nice start
Good stories live by interesting characters, and most interesting characters grow through pain and suffering. So does Jack and his little sister... but I still hope for the future that not 50% of his friends die during his journey...

readable
The world background is interesting, the protagonist unfortunately is not suited to the role he is in or the world in general, for this kind of world the protagonist needed to be smart, cunning, dominating, strong, calm how what we have here is the exact opposite. We ended up with a dumb as a brick MC, slow witted , always getting flustered and stunned, constantly getting suicidal to be saved by plot armor or someone else’s sacrifice for his foolishness, always needing the angel to wake him up especially in mid combat when he zones out due to how slow his brain is.If you like beta whiny MC then this is for you
