MikasaJensen 12 Piece Dinnerware Bowl Set, Service for 4, Multicolored

I returned due to the blueish gray, but very nice dishes

I recently moved in to a new place and was hoping for white plates and bowls, but these are equally or may be even more beautiful. The plates are a bit on the heavier side, but they are big and durable. I was reading a few of the reviews and they complained of some plates chipping, but I must've been one of the lucky customers to not have any chip during the delivery process!

The Jensen stoneware dinnerware set arrived nicely packed and protected. The set includes 4 dinner plates, 4 salad plates, and 4 bowls. All are sized well for hearty proportions. I like the set, however, there are some variances in the glazing that I'm not real keen on. One of the dinner plates appears quite a bit darker and has a swirl that the others don't. I understand "the reactive glaze finish gives each piece a unique appearance", however I expected the pieces to match more closely. There are a few tiny chips that appear to have occured before the glazing process. My biggest disappointment is in one of the bowls, which has numerous dark pock imperfections inside on the bottom (see attached photos). I purchased this set for everyday family use. I don't see me using these for guests. I expected better quality from this brand, so I'm feeling a little disappointed. It's unlikely that I will purchased additional pieces for this set. Other than the imperfections, the set has a good weight and feel to it, and the sizes are great.

I love these dishes - they're very sturdy and a bit on the heavier side, but the color is beautiful and nicely showcases the meal. I don't prefer to use this color as my primary set, but I tend to keep several different dish sets and this will be fun to use to switch up from time-to-time. They are dishwasher safe and wash up easily. Definitely recommend!

This Mikasa Jensen dinnerware set it really nice! The dishes are of good high quality. They have a bit of weight to them. The dishes are a lot heavier than any other dinnerware set I have ever owned. I consider these dishes very upscale to the point where I want to only use them in a more formal setting. The color is a bit of an earthy gray tone. I am not too fond of the color, but I think with then right tablescape setting I will be able to find other items to enhance the aesthetic for the dinnerware. Overall I would recommend this set to anyone who would like dinnerware that is heavy and of high quality

Mikasa makes awesome glassware, stoneware and flatware. The super thing about this set is the size! The bowls will hold the cereal addict’s servings perfectly! My adult son just loves cereal. He likes a LOT of cereal when he sits down.This set has the size he wants for cereal as well as anything dinner! The stoneware is Perfectly balanced, the design and glaze are aesthetically pretty. These go from stove to dishwasher nicely. The dinner plates will have enough room for the big eaters in your house. I like the salad sized plates, too. I normally eat on a smaller plate. The salad sized are very nice. You can also serve a dinner in courses by placing the large plate under the salad plate and the bowl over the salad plate. All together the set looks very classy on my table! Also, n these wash up fast and spotless. I am not sure why, but these dry in under ten minutes on a rack. The price was typical for Mikasa. These do not disappoint!

This Mikasa Jensen stoneware set is truly wonderful! Each piece in the set has a wonderful weight to it and each piece is uniquely crafted. I do have a couple distinctive spots/specs but it is stoneware and they are all on the outside or underside of the dish and only appear in maybe 3 of the 12 pieces. I love the neutral color of the set and the shape of the pieces! This is a great set for entertaining, a nice table setting or everyday dining.
