Very flimsy materials... probably good for learning, not for actual crafting.
I grabbed this in the hopes I could use it to press flowers from our neighborhood and encase them in resin. It's a functional kit - in that it has what you need and helps you learn the process. But the boards are so thin I can't imagine it holding up to prolonged use. The wood bends if you over tighten it.But this is very much a hobby/learning kit - not professional.

Perfect little kit. Just as I expected.
The media could not be loaded. This kit came just as it is advertised. The wood is of a good quality to suit its purpose. I'm very pleased and can't wait to put it to use!

Very Thin Wood. This will not stand up to long term pressure without snapping
I believe the pictures to be inaccurate. The boards are thin and cut from one solid piece of wood.In other words, its not plywood or multilayer wood.I could easily snap it with my bare hands. This is exactly what you do not want in a flower press. Not recommended.

Fun Starter Press Kit
This flower press kit was the perfect gift for my 12-year-old niece for Christmas. She loves crafting and other projects and this is a great way to add a personal, natural touch to any artwork or other creations she comes up with. I would not recommend this kit for professionals, however. It is more suited for beginners who are going to use it casually and with smaller, local flowers and leaves. The wood on the press is thin enough that it bows if you try to press larger flowers like roses inside. I would recommend daisies, clover, and other thin, relatively flat plants for this press. The pressed flowers that my niece has created look beautiful and add a special touch to anything she includes them in. I think she is having fun with the kit and hope that the press holds up to regular use. This kit comes with 1 flower press (2 pieces & 4 wing nuts), a storage bag, 6 plates, 30 pieces of lining paper and a small pack of dried flowers to get you started. There are no instructions, but you can easily find information online or figure it out on your own. As this was a gift, I would have appreciated a small booklet or website reference to include simple instructions and/or recommendations for use.

The pressing boards are very thin / weak
When I saw the listing for this I was really excited and thought it was going to be a great thing but after seeing it in person I was pretty disappointed. The boards are very thin, much thinner than they appear in the listing images. I didn't think to get a measurement but the threaded portion of the wingnut is thicker than each board and the wingnuts aren't very big. Trying to press anything of much thickness causes the boards to bow. It doesn't work much unless you're pressing something very small and thin, and even then it still doesn't work great. Even pressing the smallest pieces of pre dried flowers (included with the kit) resulted in a press that was not as flat as it should have been. I've gotten better results pressing between two hardcover books with a weight on top.

Disappointing
This kit comes with no instructions. I've never used a flower press before so a some tips would have been nice without having to google how to use it. Wood is cheap and thin and bows if there are thicker flowers in it. The wing nuts are also hard to get on because they aren't drilled properly and are crooked. I'm sure there are better flower presses out there than this which is sad because it is cute and came with a nice bag but you aren't missing out if you pass this up.

Charming fit for lumberjacks
This is a great set for anyone you know who goes out into the woods. My sister is old at heart, she's been looking forward to being grandma aged since she was a little girl. This is a great hobby for anyone like that, who just wants a peaceful life full of peaceful, soul soothing hobbies. The kit comes with everything you need, although you might want to buy a heavy stock paper pad to create post cards or other thoughtful gifts with your pressed flours. The blotting paper I thought was an especially nice touch. I'm a little confused on what to do with the already dried flowers, maybe get a jump start on some of that art work, but it was a very nice inclusion.

Not impressed
I thought this would be sturdier wood. It's very thin balsa wood. No instructions whatsoever. You're probably better off just putting flowers in a book. You're bound to get the same results.
