Good product for price
The Fokos laser engraving machines were were is sturdy and well-built and seems durable. And it balances cost with functionality effectively, making it a great entry-level option for hobbyists. The assembly video has good and clear instructions. If the manufacturer labels each part to match the instructions booklet, the assembly will be more straightforward and quicker.

Easy to use, good price!
The media could not be loaded. To start off with, there is definitely a learning curve to the system, especially when creating your own designs. This laser engraver was great to use. Took about 1 hour to set up to get to the test engraving. Set up video move a little fast with not much description, I recommend to pause it at each step. After set up, it is very easy to make it work, just download files online to the micro SD card and put it into the engraver, simple as that.I have not had any issues from the engraver for a out a month now, it's been a great purchase!

Decent Beginner Machine
This device was a little difficult to figure out how to assemble, but with the provided videos and a another video from an unaffiliated YouTube channel I was able to put it together and get it operational. The included pieces of wood were handy for doing initial testing, and other than my incompetence centering the laser over the wood piece, the included test burns turned out perfect.I am very much a beginner to Laser Cutting, but have some experience with 3d Printing (including with the Fokoos Odin 5 printer that seems to have sadly been discontinued) that may have helped me get started, but I don't see any reason why someone without that experience couldn't get this device running, though it will require some legwork to figure out what software to use and HOW to use it.Now i just need to see if I can find a decent "Thingiverse" style page to get project files from! Or.. to learn how to make my own.

FOKOOS FE10 Laser Engraver 10W Output, 60W
The best advice I can give when it comes to operating a laser is assemble it yourself. It crucial that you know what each piece is called. If you let someone else assemble it and later on down the road when you have issues and have to go watch a video trust me it is very helpful if you have a general idea what they talking about.Don’t let any one else touch the equipment-ever!When you need to put the t nuts in to hold the timing belt in place, pull the belt about 3/4” through the cutout spot in the foot bracket then use the largest hex wrench that you used in the first step to move the move the t nut where you want it, and then use that same wrench to turn it sideways before putting the screw in. Don’t tighten these too much because it will throw everything off and damage your belt. This is the 3rd laser that I’ve owned and this one was the easiest to assemble, mostly because of clear and detailed the directions are. They were very helpful, informative, and simple. Includes detailed pictures, links for instructional videos, and ways to reach out if you need assistance. These are one of a very few set of instructions that actually made 100% sense.I would recommend getting a honeycomb table, air assist and an enclosure. These will make your engraving better while extending the life of your machine and having the enclosure makes it safer for everyone. Now as for the actual engraving/cutting capabilities. I was unable to connect the machine to my lightburn soft (paid version)using the cord. This could potentially be something to do with lightburn because I cannot get it to connect to my other laser this way lately either.I was able to do a few material test burns by setting the parameters in lightburn then saving the gcode to the provided sd card. The material test kept engraving backwards and there was no way to flip it.In the material test the laser couldn’t handle some of the higher speeds it didn’t shut off between the test squares and all ran together, i expected this to happen thoughI flipped the picture in my phone settings so it could be read.Being able to print with the sd card is nice especially with the touchscreen.Next i tried doing an engraving and cut. I used the material test as a guide and it did not cut or engrave the same way it did with the material test. With one exception the image was still reversed. I flipped it in lightburn and it printed the correct way.I’ve adjusted my settings in lightburn and once the gcode is transferred to the machine via sd card it seems like the parameters get lost in translation or something. I have not found a solution for this yet.All of the instructions on operating and firmware are on the sd cardI feel this is priced accurately, I’m going to do some more testing and figure out why it won’t connect to the laser through the usb then I will return with any updates.

Perfect for personalized gifts
I've used this machine to create personalized gifts for my friend, and the reactions have been priceless. Friend love the thoughtfulness behind the custom engravings. At first, the pattern I engraved would be burnt. I contacted fokoos' email address, where I got a quick reply. They told me that it was because my parameter settings were incorrect. If using LaserGRBL, it should be set at a speed of 2000. The power should be set at 600-650 and I got this beautiful canvas bag after resetting it😊

Why it’s being returned
Need to return. No written instructions on software and utube did not help at all.

Fun and Easy to use
The media could not be loaded. I had a Lazer engraver before but it was not powerful enough to cut so I upgraded to this one. Very powerful, I've been having fun playing with it. One thing to know is the manual is on the included USB stick. It's a beginner friendly Lazer and was easy to set up. I chose to use light burn. There are a few things I was really excited about as well ,you can print with a micro USB or wifi on light burn bridge, so no need to leave connected to the computer and it has touchscreen.
