This charger works as simply as it was designed to work - easy peasy.Each cord coming out of the charger is about one meter long, so that's plenty to do the job. The charger does not get hot during charging, so that's good, too.On a side note - I bought my Canon camcorder at a garage sale, and it did not come with a charger, so I do not know how this charger compares to the original charger. But I do know this charger works well.I guess it's a big plus when the product is so simple that there isn't much you can say about it.

I'm bummed. I trust that this power supply just works.When I saw the small plug in the photo, I assumed this would work with my very old Handycam. However, I was bummed that the plug didn't fit when it came. Aw well. I'd stick with just the Handycam models they list when considering buying this.
