Computers are now the life and death of humanity
Ryan is being manipulated into solving the world's problems by his peers, teachers, friends, family, government, military, medical, transportation, aviation, cars, trains, and even security and weather. How could such simple things as computer programs and planes falling from the sky be blamed on a 13 year old boy and his friends and favorite teacher when the real problem is a greedy military provider wanting to overturn the military budget cuts and purchases that are reducing his income and raising his overhead costs. Can Ryan save the situation or even his friends? His accused crimes do not require proof of innocence or guilt. Only life imprisonment or death. And the entire Academy and military are convinced that he is guilty.

Thrilling series for all ages
I have loved this series from the very beginning but this book really stepped up the intensity. It was a thrilling ride from start to finish. The target audience of this series may be teens but even as an adult it is one of my favorites.

Fantastic series!
Bought this series for my 12 year old son who was ready for bigger boys reading. He loved the first one so much we are now waiting with baited breath for the fifth book to be released. I say we as I have read them all too and loved them! My 11 year old daughter thinks they're great too. The story really has a cooler vibe which really boosted my son's interest in reading as he grew out the more traditional kids books. My advice would be buy the whole series and get the whole family to read them (pre teen upwards). It's been lovely to share these and have enthusiastic and engaging conversations with my older kids. Thank you so much Paul Orton! Suppose we'll have to move on to his next series now (almost begrudgingly!)...

Can't rate this author enough
Again, my son , a previously reluctant reader went to bed early to get stuck into this book. The way Paul Orton writes grabs him in a way others haven't.

Son couldn't put these books down
My son read the entire series over the course of few days. Requesting the next book in the series each time.

Exciting book for teenagers
Another exciting story about a boy’s life at a fictional academy where awful things happen. The main character shows loyalty and resilience. The story has you wondering what will happen next.
