Accordion Course Book 2: For Group or Individual Instruction (Palmer-Hughes Accordion Course)

A useful progression from Book One
Have started to relearn the accordion in retirement, first time round I had a couple of serious books that were heavy going so gave up. This time I'm using the Palmer Hughes books, this builds on Book 1 and doesn't add much more in the way of musical knowledge but does have a lot of tunes to learn that improve ability. Written for piano accordion I've found no real problems in using with the button accordion except you have to think more about positioning. The PH books have encouraged me to pick up my old serious books but it's the PH books that keep me going. If you ever think you're not making progress just go back and play those earlier tunes, makes you realise you really have improved.

Excellent training manual for the enthusiast.
The book takes you step by step in accordion instruction. The manual provides music background and preparatory sections before the main music pieces. These include fingering for both treble and bass sections. Perhaps some extra help regarding rhythm would be helpful. Nonetheless a really good course book for the enthusiast.
