The easel falls off easily. If you are looking to keep a heavy painting or use it while painting, better to go for something more sturdy.

Nice and light, great for travelling and easy to assemble

I bought this to do a paint by number for my mom for Christmas. I have a very limited space to work in, and even less storage space, so I needed something that could be stored easily, hold a large canvas, and was versatile enough to use in different locations. I'm also thrifty, and not being an "artist" I didn't want to spend a lot of money on an easel that I may not use very often. This one was everything I was looking for. Inexpensive but not cheap, very adjustable, lightweight AND portable. It is not super sturdy. It's aluminum, after all, so it doesn't work like a heavy wooden one; you will need to watch your pressure so as not to topple it over, but it holds the canvas firmly and is secure. I'm going to try adding some kind of weight to the bottom of the legs to see if I can make it a little more sturdy, but I'm very happy with it as it is.

This easal is prefect for what I need it for. I needed something that has an adjustable height as well as safety. I like the clip on top that secures the white board. It holds the white board securely. I like the fact that the legs are height adjustable. I bought it to use with my daughter who has CP and uses a wheelchair. It is great to use for school work. I can put the items up on the board with magnets and have my hands free to work with her. This is not a heavy duty easal. I knew it when I purchased it. It is light weight and portable. Comes with a nylon bag to put the folded easal in. I do not have to hold the easal when I write on it or put things on and off. Great buy for the money and perfect for our needs!
