Not bad rods, not bending at all. Plastic tips. Comes with damaged threads…

The heads kept snapping off of this. At one point I was desperate enough to try it without the plastic heads. Big mistake, although that's my fault.However, the plastic heads snapping off is a result of low quality plastic. I do not recommend until they use better heads.

For the price it’s good enough to do the job. The rods are nice and sturdy, I don’t think it is made of stainless steel cuz the threads did have rust in them but was easy to clean off with wire brush and WD40. The plastic tips however are flimsy and the threads do rip off. I broke one tip earlier like other reviewers mentioned but I already have a set of steel tips that I can put on these rods. I completed a fender dent repair today and was impressed how sturdy the rods are.

Rods are strong but much too thick for most holes - the plastic tips shatter off on the threads pretty much instantly when trying to use the tool. going to be returning this asap

I don't write reviews, but I was so aggravated with how cheap the plastic tips were. They literally broke as soon as pressure was applied. The threads barely screwed in, kind of cross threaded. And when the tip broke off in the tank it took me 45 minutes to get it out. Absolute crap!

Have used each piece included. Has been solid and seem to be well made.

Let me start with the bad:The hammer tap pen I received was plastic and poor quality. The tips were also poorly threaded and a little crooked. When I tried to screw them into the pen or the rods some wouldn't screw all the way down. On the topic of the rods, the threads were very dirty with rust and metal shavings.Now the good:For the price, it's a great kit. I have seen other kits with thinner rods and I wanted something that would really take the force of getting out a dent. The rods use a standard M8 x 1.25 thread like other kits so if I needed to find another tip set, it would be easy. Also, I was able to tap the existing threads since I had that size already which cleaned up nicely. I did try to use the same size die on the existing bits but the thread was somehow different. I contacted the seller about the problem with the tips and the tap pen and they addressed it very quickly. The zipper case that came with the kit did the job so it wrapped up everything nicely.Summary:If you see this with a coupon or deal and understand that you may have to tap some threads and buy a different tap pen and bits, you'll be in good shape understanding exactly what you're buying.
