Always loved the chicken soup book. There's one for every need and topic, and they've been inspiring me since my teens. This particular boom warmed every maternal bone in my body. From stories of pregnancy, infertility, adoptions, miracles, New moms, veteran moms, and even dads, this book had a story for every one. Loved it. Thank you

When I was a kid, I loved Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul and their journal version. This book was similar in that the stories either made me giggle or made me tear up. There were a lot of stories about adoption which were nice to read even though I am not in that situation. If you are expecting or thinking of having a baby, it's definitely a quick, interesting read.

Well there's good and bad about this book...not for the tender hearted..and let's face it if you're reading it your pregnant so possibly emotional...almost all of these stories are about preterm labor and adoption and although all turn out positive in their own way really freaked me out deeply...a great book for maybe after pregnancy but not during...will cause excessive worrying and late night doctor calls for no reason

Gifted this "Chicken Soup" book to my daughter who is expecting. She has not read it yet. I have enjoyed reading similar books over the years.

I was looking for a book like this, one that doesn't go by month to month of what I should expect physically, medically. It's a book that gives you some perspective from personnal short stories. I brought it to read during my "baby moon" and it just made me feel whole-especially mentally. Too bad there isn't a more recent version but, I would buy this as a gift-especially for a first time mother.

I purchased this item for a friend as a congratulatory gift after she announced her first pregnancy. There were no *brand new* books being sold directly by Amazon, so I chose a "used" item listed as "mint/new" condition by the seller. Unfortunately, when I received the item I could definitely tell the book had been previously read, as the cover and spine areas were worn and wrinkled. As you can imagine, it was slightly embarrassing to give as a gift; unfortunately, due to time constraints I didn't have time to return or exchange it for something else. I can't speak to the content of the book, only the disappointment in appearance.

Chicken Soup books are always easy read and filled with uplifting stores. This was a perfect addition to the shower gift I had picked out for a first time mother.

Great condition for buying a used book and the stories in it are just what my sister (the pregnant one) needed!

Brought for a friend who is expecting her first baby, she loved it shed a few tears too! she has also reprinted one of the poems from the book and put it on her wall its fab.

Great book and wonderful stories. It was a lovely gift to bless a friend with.
