For a book that deals with such an out-there experience the text is sober and simple. On the other hand, the bit at the beginning by Rak Razam does bring out the sheer crazy ecstasy of the experience.I think it is an effective call to action. It might disappoint those who are interested in self-help as I guess few people will ever get the chance to experience the Toad Medicine. But his honest passion comes across so clearly and you feel in turn inspired to make the world a better place.This medicine is out there. Why then does it reside in the humble Sonoran toad? No one’s going to find out. But just the implications of this mind-blowing substance being out in the world just changes your whole conception of this amazing planet. Read it and feel inspired too.

Awesome book so far, just about halfway through and am convicted enough to go and see Dr. Octavio Rettig in the fall, if possible.I know tryptamines heal psychological dissonance and anguish, first hand. If you feel the tug or echo, read this book

I read this leading up to my Toad Medicine Ceremony and it really helped me prepare for the experience and understand it on such a deeper level. It's a great read, very informative, and pretty short. I highly recommend it for anyone interested in learning more about Otac and Dr. Octavio. I felt even more excited about the experience and I had even more respect and reverence for the toad.

Octavio ist Pionier in der Arbeit mit 5-MeO-DMT. Grundlagen zur Substanz, Geschichtliches, seine persönliche Erfahrung mit der Substanz bzw. wie er sich selbst damit geheilt hat. Sehr empfehlenswert, auch wenn man nicht persönlich mit ihm arbeiten will.

Fascinating! I read this book very quickly because I was so captivated by it. The thoughts expressed in the first section of this book were so meaningful to me that I intend to re-read it with a highlighter. The following sections were very moving and I think anyone with an open heart and mind would find this book well worth reading. I **LOVED** it.
