Better coverage than expected
We purchased the outdoor extender to bring internet from our house to my studio 300 ft away. The extender was placed midway between the two with no ethernet cable, just plugged in. The WiFi coverage is great now throughout our yard, far better than I was hoping for and our connections have been good for our computers, etc. We live near the Canadian border and we have had coverage even when the temps have approached 0 degrees. It took me a while to get the connection right but I think that was more user error. When I actually got everything working I think the system was fairly easy to set up. We are very pleased with our purchase.

Quit working after only a week.
When I first hooked it up there was strong signal. But I had to move it to it's permanent location a week later. When I did, something must have fried it because it hasn't worked since. The light on the poe was out, so I bought a new poe... that wasn't it. Tried brand new cat5 cables... that wasn't it. I guess the router itself is dead and I didn't remove it from its box to use it till a few months after purchasing. I'm just out $151.20.

ax 1800 oudoor wifi
I Bought 3 outdoor Ax1800 Wi-Fi6 to use with Starlink on my farm. We have a Google Nest mesh network for the house, but I want a separate mesh network for the farm. I'm told the maximum I can use is 7. I have them meshed together with only one hardwired as the root router and only 1 hop to run the security cameras, and it's working great! I'll add a second hop down the road; I'm lucky to have electricity in the other locations to receive a good signal. The first day, I struggled and googled wave tech support, and the guy on the phone wanted to charge me money to help me set up the routers. I hung up the phone right away because it didn't seem right. I read some Amazon reviews about customers experiencing the same issue. So, I went to the wavlink.com website and emailed them after my work day. They responded right away. they said, "We want to clarify that Wavlink tech support is globally free, and we will not take charge from our customers." So, I Googled Wavlink's support again and found that Google's first AI result is wavlink.net and not wavlink.com. Ok F*** Google. On the second day, I called Wavlink.com's support phone number and told him I wanted to mash all 3 outdoor 1800wifi6 together. He gave me some pointers, and later that day, advanced tech support emailed me because it was more complicated. However, I was able to work it out from the tips I received over the phone.First, the hard wire ax1800 is the root so the mode is the router. The other Wi-Fi Ax1800s start from scratch and do a factory reset. When you first log in to admin to set up your device, right above the time zone is the mode setting. I failed to see that; it didn't stand out, and if you go beyond that, it doesn't work correctly in advanced settings after the setup. Set both unit modes to easy mesh or something like that.Secondly, on the first (root) wired ax 1800wifi6 in router mode, I was able to find, at the bottom of the home page, below the network status and above the copyright, the little blue "PC UI" link. I went to advanced settings from the little blue "PC UI" link, all with my smartphone, by the way. Then, to Mesh Network, I was able to input other devices using the pair keys written on the back of the other two ax1800 wifi6 units to set up the mesh. It works! I hope this helps.

This extender works well, assuming you have the revision b.
Given the various pricing, seller, and combination of this extender – I was a little confused when I ordered the first unit. There are so many sellers associated with Wavlink or Wavlink has so many storefronts and pricing model. This product does work – but you have to get the right version – and it is not easy.My first unit was from Wirelessforce for model # WNAP570B and ASIN B0DCZCWZMB with a release date of August 2024 for $55. This little unit is working well and allows be to access cameras across the year. The setup was easy and never had any issues dropping signal. Plus the automatic firmware update is a big plus.Impressed by this, I ordered another unit – this time – attracted by the lower price. From Juyi Store with a model # AC600 and ASIN B09LXWHS7R with a release date of July 2021 for $34. This unit was promptly returned overnight as it failed to function. It had trouble maintaining a link to the router, kept dropping and the signal was weak. This was a WN570HA1 Rev A.At the point of return, I ordered from Wirelessforce (same seller) a unit that I thought was the same. But has a model # of 570HA1 and ASIN of B08BZLXB3M with a release date of June 2018 for $53. This was returned the same day for the same signal dropping and weak throughput issue. This was also a WN570HA1 Rev A.I hope that Amazon would put an end to all this madness from sellers/manufacturers with a requirement to list the right model number. The one I found that works the best is the WN570HA1 Rev B (Aerial HD2-Pro) -

Setup and Signal Strength
I set it up as AP Extender...I did not hardwire it to my current router, I just allow it to see my current network ans boost it. Current router is inside my metal insulated bldg. Current signal on exterior was 2 bars...the extender increased it to full bars and beamed it out to the driveway gate at full strength. I now have good continuous video feed at my gate with wyze cam. 2.4ghz and 5g. Setup was easy once I figured out the password is automatically admin.... so just set it up in your home, use a computer to access the signal. Easy. Once it setup then go head and mount it wherever you going. ENJOY.
