This item is a great piece to clean out your chimney/flu. I use this while I was on top of my roof and the flexibility of the cleaning rods worked well enough so I did not have to hold it upright. I could also use this pipe from the ground if I had a clean out that would let me insert it into it, and then also use this cleaning rod from the inside of the house through the chimney to a clean out. It attaches to a drill and is easily spins to clean out the suit and debris. I do recommend this product and will be using it yearly to ensure that there is no chance of fire or damage. It does not seem to damage the flu at all from what I can tell , because everything is a plastic like material instead of a steel brush

Even if I only got one use, it was worth it. Used 8 of the 10 40" sections to get to the top. a Makita 18v impact driver to power it. No issues with any fittings, but I think 10 uses and it will fail. Our pipe is 12 inch diameter so it would be impossible to get stuck. If I had a smaller pipe I would trim the string line to an inch wider than the pipe diameter(easy to do; it is string trimmer line). The rods are more substantial than I expected, but the fittings will definitely wear out(its only $50.00)....planning on buying another for spare parts. it did a great job and stopped our fireplace from smoking.

It works well at sweeping the chimney but is a little different to disassemble. It saves me about 200 dollars a year to not have someone else sweep my chimney. I burn about 10 cords a year so it's a big cost savings to do it myself.

Was able to make the 90 deg bend through my wood stove and into my chimney. Seems robust and removed a whole lotta build up. Glad I bought this and cleaned my chimney, I think I was headed for a bad time if I didn't.
