I was very excited to get this to be able to use my phone hands-free in an older vehicle. It did connect well to my vents however, my vents slide up and down versus back-and-forth and therefore the vent stayed and down due to the weight of the device. I went ahead and put it on my windshield and was very pleased with it until the next day when I saw the black plastic part starting to fall off of the suction cup and the phone started hanging facing down. When I removed it and took a closer look, the black plastic had actually started to warp from the sun. I’m not going to bother replacing it with the same brand since even if I put it on my dash as opposed to my windshield, it would likely get just as hot if not hotter.Edit on 8/16/23 to add: I added one star, because the manufacturer did contact me and assured me that they will be sending it back to the design team, and see if they can find a way to keep the plastic from melting in the heat of a windshield.

Only downfall, is if you have a pop socket on the back of your phone... It will make it stick out almost to far for it to rest properly. It's doable... But it would be nice if it has a slice out of the middle for you to slide it down into it (just to add stability)It's also a little weak... Like it's good but if you have a heavy iPhone, I would keep looking.

It actually comes with two ways to mount phone. A clip for vent & mount for dash. Great option for you as well as style of car. Good buy.

It’s very good for the price I just wish it had more of a swivel without having to take it off the windshield and readjust

I've had a hard time finding a phone holder that actually works, this is my 4th one. I am pleased to say it has actually worked! It stuck to my car with no issues, even when I had to move it.
