Nice shape, potent smell
My last order for rose buds is no longer listed on here, so after a lot of searching, I settled on this one. Mine had a really potent fragrance, kind of overpowering. Not in a synthetic way, but in the way my Dad's rose garden in full bloom was kind of overpowering. So careful if you're sensitive to floral scents. Maybe some other reviews got a bad/stale batch?I bought this to go in a carpet powder (take baking soda, throw in a bunch of lavender, rosemary, rose, and seal it for a couple weeks, really lovely smelling carpet powder) so am not planning to eat them. But, since I am throwing it all over my house to freshen carpets and furniture, I wanted something that was a good grade. So I don't know what these taste like, but I did check each bud going in my powder for bugs, mold, and any out of place scents. All good, far as I could see/smell. I did notice that a few buds were really tight (so like someone else said, those ones might not steep well for a tea) but most in the package weren't like that. The petals did flake a little while I was handling them, you can see in the photo on my hand and in the bag, but overall they were very pretty.I noticed the bag I received has some different stickers to the bag in the product photos. And it sounds like some others got bags that didn't label it as tea, so they had different stickers as well. I might be more concerned about that if I planned to eat these, so take that as you will. The seller may have just updates their look. The bag itself does look like product photo, and had a really good press to close kind of seal.Taste- no ideaScent - strong, but not unnatural (to me anyway)Appearance- good overall shape, very pretty, good for decorations but might get a little crumbly if you're trying to do crafts that require a lot of handling the buds

Aromatic and delicate, freshness preserved
Most Rose teas at the Chinese grocery store, or really any grocery store has been sitting on the shelf too long and thus are no longer flavorful. Thus, it is more important to buy flower teas from fresher sources even if the price is higher. Rose teas and chrysanthemum teas are big examples of flowers gone stale and old at a store, so I recommend buying your rose and flower teas online. When you open this package, it smells bright and lovely and the colors are so bright that they almost look like freshly plucked roses. Most roses at the store are paler and staler in color. This tea smells nice- almost makes you want to take some shower with rose petals afterward when you breathe it in. You just need a small handful and hot water and the smell is lovely. There should only be a slight tang to it b/c of the Vitamin C that is packed in roses, but if it's just straight up sour, then you know you have a bad batch of rose tea (not in the case of this company here- but you get that sour quality with many grocery stores). Let it steep for a few mins- it's ok for flower teas to steep longer than leaf and herbal teas b/c they can't become too bitter.Drink this on a summer day for something bright, delicate, but romantic smelling. Highly recommend this brand and its rose tea.

LOVELY
Lovely! Perfect rose buds. Delicious addition to lavender/ginger/citrus teas. Aromatic and yummy! I drop one into cups of hot and glasses of iced tea as a beautiful garnish!

I need to read more carefully. Not Pink.
I should have read the description more carefully. I intended to purchase Pink rose buds for tea. This is more Red, with a spicier note to it. If returns were free, I would exchange it. But the flavor as a tea is mild and generally pleasant enough overall. Just not as good (to me) as the pink rose bud tea that I'm running out of. Not what I meant to order, but if you like red rose buds for tea or rose crafts, this should work fine for you. As far as I can see, through opening the pouch, they are largely (if not all) intact, and smell like freshly dried red roses should (based on my limited experience).

Very fragrant and well preserved rose buds!
Compared to some other cheaper rose petals and buds we bought in the past, this one is of very high quality. Fragrant and well-preserved, my wife loves it when making her rose-infused teas.

Rose tea for sleep
I love rose tea as a settler before bedtime. It doesn't need to have a strong rose flavor since it's the rose blooms that are a sleep aid, but it does have a gentle rose scent and flavor. I make the tea then add some almond milk. Lovely tea, lovely sleep.

Good for Decor
I initially bought this to use in tea, but I'm not too sure that I trust this to be ingested. It doesn't really smell like roses in my opinion, plus it smells a little weird. I think I'll spend a few extra dollars on rose buds that are certified organic or something. I decided to use these as decor instead
