8 extractors, feel aggressive (like they'll do the job).
The ultimate test of 1 extractor, would be a medium or large, seized bolt that had actually broken off, as the head of the bolt would be gone, the remains of the body of the bolt may start under the surface, and what's left may also be difficult to remove, due to years of rust, as it sat in place. Since the extractors are used to remove broken bolts, screws and pipes, and I don't have any of these conditions presently, and they would be hard to duplicate for a test, but likely will soon in a rusty bumper support I'm trying to replace, I haven't actually used these yet. So this review at this time will be my impressions on these extractors. - I've used extractors somewhat like these, requiring you drill into the center of the broken bolt, then start the extractor in your drill, running in REVERSE. < This is easy to forget, especially in the heat of the moment that usually surrounds a broken fastener, that has stopped a mechanical repair in its tracks. These extractors have finer, more aggressive (?) threads than the brands I've used before. At this time, I would guess that these threads will more quickly GRAB a broken bolt, after you put it in your drilled hole - resulting in the removal of the broken bolt you were stuck w/. However, I'm concerned (I speculate) that attribute of the extractors may come at the cost of either brittleness of the metal it's made of, or a quicker wearing of each extractors, limiting each one to a much shorter lifetime. However, even if this is true, given there's 8 extractors in this set, if you divide them by the total cost of the set, you're currently at just $1.50 each! That would be a bargain to defeat the problem that has your project stuck. Of course, the average home DIYer like me won't be using each and every extractor, even over years time. Also, an extractor may not work on each trouble fastener it's tried on, so I think a wise consumer should instead assume the extractor kit will, AT BEST, work, and will be used AND successful at most 3 times. Dividing the current cost by 3 would set you back $4 for each broken fastener removed. That would still be a deal, IF they work - and a judgment of that would be better measured by a wide audience of Users' experiences. So, I'll edit this review as soon as I try to remove a broken (and seized) bolt.

Useless
The media could not be loaded. Absolutely did nothing, lost shape from few seconds of use. Waste of time, all it did was spin around instead of doing what it supposed to do, resulting in a bigger hole.

they are ok
like a lot of post, the case is a joke. I only used one and even though I pre drilled a hole I was still unable to use the ez out to pull out the screw. i ended up taking apart more of the unit i was working on to get it out. but I think its partially how i did it so got a 3star instead of 1 as i haven't really tested them.

Extractor Tools Seem Fine-Case is Weak
When this 8 piece kit arrived I opened the shipping box to find the case open and the extractor tools lying loose in the box. It didn't hurt the tools, but I noted that the case they came in didn't close securely. It also isn't designed to hold 8 extractors...it only has slots for 6 and if you want to store the 2 small ones they have to go under the others which would make it a pain to get at....except you probably won't need to use these that often.I usually find there are a half dozen occasions during any given year when some fastener breaks or screw head strips and it's then that these come in so handy. There are no instructions with these, so you might want to brush up on how to use an extractor by watching a youtube video. The extractors are simply a drill that turns the opposite way than your screw does. By slowly drilling this tool into the top of a stripped fastener you are twisting it counterclockwise and loosening and then removing it.No toolbox should be without a set. With this one, put a rubber band or ring of tape around the case to keep them all inside it and to assure that it stays closed.
