Great but doesn’t close when full!
It’s great overall but really annoying that it doesn’t close when full!

Wasn't what I expected
I don't like this expanding folder. It wasn't what I was expecting. If I had known it would have opening on the bottom (see photo) I would've purchased a different one. Also, the cord is short so if the file is more than half full (see photo) it won't close. Disappointed.

Space-efficient
This expanding file is space-efficient - as you can put many papers in it but doesn't take up much space. I might get another one, if needed.

compact & easily assessable to find information.
Really appreciate the way this folder in arranged. Can put important papers/items into file and store it in a place that doesn't require much room.

It is bigger than it looks
Stretches out nicely and keeps its shape

Great for archiving. There are actually 13 dividers.
I consider this great for archiving records, but not necessarily for daily use. The reason is that while the outer material is thick and durable, the colored folder dividers are a bit thin and may not hold up to daily use. They are certainly usable, just a bit thinner than I would consider durable. The manufacturer claims 12 dividers and this is because there are 12 internal pieces that can be labeled. However, depending on how you look at it, there is an extra 13th divider either between the front of the folder and the 1st divider or between the back of the folder and the 12th divider. That space cannot be labeled but there are actually 13 spaces. I placed 13 magazines in the spaces and that is about right for this folder. It can stretch to hold more, perhaps close to twice that in my estimation, but you would not be able to close and secure the folder since the elastic tie-down strap is pretty much at its limit when the 13 magazines are placed in it. With a bit of stretching, I'd say I could get 15-16 magazines in there before it could not be closed.Overall, this is a very good folder for archiving or low use, perhaps something that you might open and close a few times a month. At that usage level, it should last a long time. I will use mine for archiving taxes etc., where there is some protection against light, water, rodents, etc. and where the files will stay neat, clean, and organized over the years.
