Would a larger cat be able to use this?

Yea. It’ would fit a larger litter box easily on the inside and is very sturdy. It’s made for all sizes. My other cat weighs 25 pounds.

Can the cabinet be built in reverse to have the shelves on the other end?

I don’t think so. I followed the instructions and the way it’s set up may not allow it.

I weigh about 175 and I’ve been able to sit on it. It’s pretty sturdy.
