I knew that the hotel I was staying at had a man made beach and that it got quite 'muddy' the further you went out, so figured I'd try these.After trawling the reviews I ended up going for my actual shoe size (10) and they are a touch loose, but adjusting the velcro strap sorted that. So my advice would be go for your size, as I think a 9 would have been a bad fit for me.They lasted several days use in the Caribbean, I never bothered with them in the pool. They came back with me and look like they will survive another holiday, so for the money they are very hard to fault.

So I buy a pair of similar shows once a year for me and my wife to walk on the vast beach towards Roda in Corfu from Restia suites. Its about a 2.5Mile walk and the beach can be a bit stony in places. Whilst the shoes did a reasonable job, they were not a good fit for either of us. The Velcro attachment didn't really for properly, and the sole of the shoes weren't very thick. The simple 'slip on' beach shoes we bought previously did a much better job. These tended to let too much sand in, and meant we had to remove them frequently to empty out the contents.

These aqua shoes are easy to fit and I suggest you purchase the usual size for your feet. Normally with aqua boots I purchase a larger size, but it is not necessary with these. The soles are tough but quite thin, so I would not use them on stony ground. For the price - a good buy.,

I ordered these scuba shoes in size 12 for my partner and they were too big. I arranged to return them, received an immediate return approval from the supplier and was able to return free of charge from a collect service via Hermes. Encouraged, I then ordered the next size down, size 11. When it arrived it was not the same shoe and it was from a different supplier. It was far too small. It looked the same but it was not. It also has a different returns policy - requiring me to go to the post office and pay for the return. The return approval took 2-3 days. I have checked on the Amazon site now and if you are not paying attention, selecting a different size of what seems to be the same item, takes you to a different supplier (check the small print). I am really not happy. The size 11 in the same shoe would have fitted for sure. What a hassle. Totally put off! Thanks Amazon!

A bit large but not too much. Quality not brilliant but reading previous reviews we were aware that insoles were not stuck. So we stuck with superglue! Intended for a holiday by the sea for grandchildren. If they last longer that's a bonus. Not sure how useful so didn't want an expensive pair.

Brought these on holiday and they worked really well as shoes we could walk around in, whether the sea or on land. They fit well and didn’t fall off when swimming. Not sure they’ll do multiple holidays but for the price and how well they lasted they’re definitely worth it. The soles are solid enough that I didn’t feel as freaked out swimming over the urchins either - although probably not wise to test them!

Bought them for the intended purpose to be for my summer holiday abroad. They are tough, well made, comfortable and stylish and I can't praise the shoes enough! Perfect for walking along a stoney/sandy beach & even better for taking a dip in the ocean safe in the knowledge your feet are protected from things that could bite or sting you.

The Velcro did not attache well after the first week. The material stretched thus making the connection week coming undone after several steps. The Right toe looked like a section of the glue did not take. Obviously there is no quality control going on here as it was impossible to miss. The edges of the overlap were fraying but the end of the first week. Cheap and nasty would not recommend to anyone for any purpose......!
