Excellent product. Very heavy to get up stairs so plan accordingly. Seems secure. Would recommend.

Sturdy and well made . You can only have one drawer open at a time and have to close one to open another.. I understand that this prevents the cabinet from falling forwards but it is sometimes inconvenient.

update======Manufacturer read this review and rang me up! They were surprised Amazon didnt offer to send out the missing part. Missing rails were sent out to me - Five stars to Manufacturer!(PS. You only need the rails if you are going to use the smaller A4 suspension files)Orig review:=========quick amazon delivery, and packaged very well. unfortunately the box had no holes in the sides to help you carry it, and being big and cumbersome took some effort getting it upstairs. after removing and binning the packaging i noticed there was no rails inside the cabinet. Moving it to it final spot something clanged on the inside and to my relief it wasn't broken it was just one of the missing rails falling from somewhere inside it. However it was just the one rail - and searching the inside of the cabinet did not reveal the second one.Ringing amazon has always a huge pain - it always takes a hour of googling to find the link, but when you do find the page on amazon it allows you a chat option or a ring back option. The latter only works if you have an order - you select your order, click a button then they ring you back. They were more than happy to arrange a courier pickup to take the cabinet back and then order another one. All i wanted was the missing rail, and I didn't fancy having to lug the current one back downstairs, pack it up and then order another one, which may also have missing rail(s). But they couldn't just send me the missing part.In the end I decided to keep it - there was nothing wrong with the cabinet itself and at least with one rail I could use it to look for something similar in size and length to use for the bottom drawer. Cabinet itself was okay - the white matches the rest of my white furniture perfectly. The draws themselves aren't as heavy duty as my old similar filing cabinet that had served me well over a decade, but this one is adequate for my purposes. With the rail fitted I could put both foolscap and a4.This is the problem with bulky items - if there is a problem its a pain to replace.

The cabinet arrived undamaged and seems of good quality, so I'm happy with it overall.It comes with four metal bars, which can be inserted to reduce the width of each drawer. This is necessary if you use hanging files designed for A4 papers (or smaller). On delivery, three of these were a couple of millimetres too long to fit.The seller was shown simply as 'Amazon' and I couldn't find a way to contact the actual retailer, but I left a review about the problem. Office Hippo phoned me within two days - they had seen the review, apologised for the inconvenience and arranged to send me replacement bars the next day. These arrived and do fit. So I'm very happy with the service.

Ordered 2 of these very pleased with one but other one was dented in 2 places

I was looking for a foolscap filing cabinet to replace the one I bought years ago that was damaged and scrapped in a recent move.They are all hideously expensive nowadays but this seemed to fit the bill. It is (slightly) less expensive than others and has a large capacity (for some reason the 4-drawer unit is cheaper than the 3-drawer one).BUT, as several other reviewers have stated, it arrived damaged. It had several dents. The packaging was completely intact which leads me to believe that the damage was caused before the item was packed and it was sent out in the hope that the recipient would not notice and/or could not be bothered to return it.Granted the damage on my unit was little more than cosmetic, but for nearly £200 I expect to receive an item in pristine condition. After fighting with Amazon's CS 'bot I finally got to speak with a real person. I explained the situation, emailed her photos of the damage and got 25% off!My advice to anyone else who receives a damaged unit but who doesn't want the hassle of returning it is to speak to a real person in CS and say that you want a discount.

Looks good in the house. No dents or scratches. Everything works. 2 keys provided. My only slight neutral observation is that the drawer fronts are not fully rigid, so flex in and out when you open the drawers via the handle. Drawers open fully, which is a big advantage. Overall, very happy with this filing cabinet.
