Looks cool
I haven't installed this on any of my lathes yet but it's built well. When I do get it installed I will update this review. And as for what do you use it for well gosh I make many ball joint socket style connections when building parts I believe this will make it a bit faster to finish them up.

Works great
I needed to get a small ball turner on my 14"x40" lathe in a hurry and this was just the ticket. Since putting it on the compound had the cutter too high, I planned to make a riser block. But after examining it, it turns out rising the cutter holder from the rotating table is much less work and gets clearance around the chuck, allowing you to work closer to the chuck. At the same time it gets your hands away from the chuck. In my case I made a riser about 60mm wide, 60.5mm high and 5/8" wide. The only thing I ran into is that the groove in the rotating table was cut with a really chewed up endmill. You might want to make a cleanup cut. Otherwise it worked great. So far only tested in stainless but I'm sure other materials will be fine.Update: the pivot screw was loose because the washer gave too much clearance. To tighten the screw without binding up the bearings, I had to make up a few shim washers to stack under it. I expected some hand finishing at this price so I'll leave the stars alone.

Easy to Adapt to a Micromark 7 x 16 Lathe. Feels Solid.
A piece 2"w x 4 1/4"L x 1/8" thick aluminum and four holes adapted it nicely.I removed the tool post and slide, replaced the two 4 x 10mm allen screws with 4x16mm bevel head philips screws to attach and it came up on center. You may need shims. I have only used it twice but it has worked well so far.Just don't make heavy cuts.
