A light easy to use pen.
I purchased this pen to use for work. I'm left handed and have used fountain pens for many years as I've found them practical and easy to use. I normally buy ordinary fountain pens with slightly wider/almost italic nibs that aren't specifically designed for left hander's as I've not had any problems using these. I needed another pen just for red ink and decided to purchase this left handed one to see it felt better and was easier to use. My experience so far is that it's not and hasn't made any difference. I write in an upright position from the front, not with my hand held in an "upside down" position, have been using daily and can feel no difference. It's a nice light pen, so if you want something more substantial in feel, this is probably not for you. It's reasonably priced, slightly more expensive than the one for right handed. Although the reviews I read leaned towards defining the nib as wide, I would say that the nib isn't wide, but average, giving an average size mark - not wispy thin. My preference is for a wider nib, as the mark is more distinct, but It's not my main writing pen, and I alternate it with other. In short I would say it's a nice pen to have in a collection - it's my 3rd go to pen of choice - a good pen for beginners as well. It's good value for money, you may get upset if you lost it, but not as upset as if you lost your best expensive fountain pen - even then you probably wouldn't want to hand it over to anyone else to use!

Not ideal for my left handedness
The nib holding area is sculpted and not perfectly round. Thus I can't easily adjust hold the pen at an angle as the indentations force a 'straight ahead' angle for the nib. Thus I don't think I can exploit fully the slight obliqueness of the nib. No issue with the pen overall, but I don't think I've found anything special for a left hooker,

Lovely pen
This is a lovely pen overall. It's not overly stylish and the ergonomic grip takes a little getting used to but after half a dozen times or so of use you forget all about it and it's just a comfortable pen to use. Writes nicely too, especially for a lefty. Had trouble with another pen that claimed to be suitable for both left and right handed people but I struggled to get it to write smoothly, whereas my right handed husband managed to get it working fine. Really pleased with my purchase. Would definitely buy another should I need to.

Pen must be good, but was sent wrong nib...
I've ordered EF Extra Fine nib pen and only realised that I've got the wrong one after inserting cartridge. What I've got is LH - left-handed medium nib, so you can imagine what difference it will be for right-handed person expecting extra fine writing. So be aware when ordering and receiving pen - check the nib first! On this basis it's hard to give correct review on the pen. Overall it seems good given the price and made in Germany title. Nice to handle, good value.Probably will update after I get correct one.

A pen for a left hander is always a big draw!!
I had one of these pens some years ago and we lost one another!I found it again here and snapped it up. I will say that there is some improvement in my handwriting for this pen!Once you and the pen warm up to one another you can expect, if you suffer like i do as a leftie, some legibility.(Sorry if i have offended any fellow left handers but i truly do suffer from poor handwriting despite being taught very well! The age of typing and not writing enough has not helped!!)

No different to standard parker pen for right handers
I wish I had something positive to say about this pen. I've inserted an ink reservoir and ripped up the packaging otherwise I'd be sending it back. I will use it as a spare - am trying to cut back on plastic wasted in use of biros. I appreciate that every left handed person writes differently but this pen is not an improvement on my current Parker pen for right handers. I chose it thinking it might be a bit smoother. It's not. I will stick with the Parker for now - writing consistently better, even on poorer quality paper where the Lamy pen seems to put more ink on the page and subsequently writing blurs around the edges. Disappointing

Slightly scratchy but good
Overall I'm pleased but I have another Lamy Safari with a LH nib and it's perfect. However this is supposedly the same nib but it's scratchy to write with on all paper types. It hasn't left the house, simply lives on my desk with the other. Used on same paper as my other Lamy and it's scratchy. It's not the end of the world but knowing that it can be perfect only gets this pen 4*.
